sizing- well i got 3rd hand down (2nd guy who bought them had them for only a week) 3-4 washed (owned for about 3 months, light wear) 47s in size 30 from the supermarket and they have stretched to a 32 ...they're slim/loose lol...not tight anywhere...but its not falling off...

these 40500Ns are soooo hard to break in.....almost wearing them 24/7 for 2 weeks, barely made a diff.!

i've heard natural indigo is tough, but two weeks wouldn't make a serious dent in a lot of jeans. The canes at denim bar have the arctuate visibly ripped off with a slight outline remaining, and the red tabs are cut off so only the part closest to the pocket is visible. I'm considering just getting a tailor to put the stitching back onto them after i buy them, is that possible?

Using sammy soap on sugar canes is a sure path to denim ruination.

when the time comes i say give it a cold soak, dry em, then wear em for another 6 months(or however you have been wearing them), then when its truly time to wash them, search the forums for the answer

sugarcanes are pretty stubborn...its gonna take a long ass time so don't even wry about it

i did a 3 hour hot soak on the raw and they shrunk to exactly how the one wash is. i mean exactly. they both fit the same now.

the intention was to buy one, but the place i went to was having a buy one, get the other one for half price sale. i tried on about 10 other pairs (nudies, lvc, etc, etc), but none of them compared to the canes.

i was amazed how baggy the fit was with the raw pair. after the soak they shrunk up nicely. still expecting a little more shrinkage after next soak.

So I'm thinking about finally getting some canes and was looking at Sel edge and their

Sugarcane 1955 Raw with the deadstock zippers? I'm wanting a more slimmer cut and fit. Any suggestions to a slimmer cut? I've always rocked sammy's in the past... & what are your opinions of the 1955's? Thanks....
