Samurai Jeans

Here are some pictures of my 710BK II's before and after it's 1st machine wash with an air dry. (2 initial hot soaks before this wash) This pair has 159 days of actual wear, however, since I lead a very inactive lifestyle, there isn't as much progress as people who have worn theirs for fewer days. I spend a great of time sitting in front of a computer and it shows - the most contrast was in my ass :)

I gave up on my FH3009's (the testicle soreness was a deal breaker - tight crotch!) so I need a blue pair to go with this black pair. I love Samurai denim, I've found. Does Samurai make a low rise, straight fit? I didn't see one on BiG. I'd like to see how a low rise, straight fit would look on me. I also might try a high rise, straight fit, to see how it looks.

If your 3009 were too tight in the crotch I dunno why you want a low rise pair. However, the fit you are looking for is the 610. There should be some pairs around.

your BK IIs looking nice for doing nothing ;)

Hehe, thanks for the info BF and Max! I'm not sure what was up with the 3009's. I have other low rise regular jeans that don't hurt the baby maker, but that pair of 3009's brought the pain. I'd like to try a pair of lower rise Samurai's out and see how they look on me. I'll check out the 610 and the 5000vx.

I'll post some fit pics when the 710BK II's have stretched back out a little after the wash. They definitely feel like they're fitting more snugly and fit better than before.

Thanks for the help guys!

Martin

BiG lists the 610 as a tapered leg fit. How different will the fit be from a straight leg? Am I correct in thinking that a straight leg cut is the best for de-emphasizing body flaws... like my largish hips?

If I'm not mistaken, the 610, 5000 and 510 taper around 1" from the knee to the hem. But that's no carrot fit, still a straight leg with a little taper. If you have large thighs, the 510 and 5000 will work out. Dunno about the 610 though. But the 510 has a really long rise, so you can ignore that cut.

Ok so after the 710xx wich I think is my best denim!

I just buy a s0500xx (lot 14 I guess) from Yuichi, I don't see much love for this cut here, I think the texas coton as so much character et fading potential and it's lighter than my 710 so it will be fine for summer time.

I'm a 35" I take the s710 lot 16 in 34 and I take this one in 34" as well. So sd1.

I think it will be good, can't wait to receive this jean.

I like your AS500 fit, i think with the wash to come it will be an awesome fit.

Also i think i will buy this s5000VX 25oz. first because i want to try the zero denim and i want to try the s5000 cut, but also because every time i'm looking at these jeans my legs wants to suffer!!!

My thighs aren't too large, they're probably a little below average in size. It's just that I have large hip bones for some reason. I'm wary of anything that might emphasize the hips, like tapering. If the taper starts at the knee, I think it should be OK.

Thanks again! I'll try one of them out and see how it goes.

I think the fit is weird too

That's why i'm afraid of buying a 5000cut i'm scared that it fit like this on me too, maybe it's because you're little??? i'm a 29,5/30 in inseam and a 35 in waist, and large cut can look weird on me, it's nearly how the 710 tts looked at me. And i have pretty big thigh.

exactly. The VX denim doesn't shrink that much. Only the BK (which should behave similar to the VX) shrank a lot with a single soak.

Your postsoak fit looks like how I would like my pre-soak fit to look (maybe even a little bit smaller). If you have the feeling you could go smaller than one size down from what you've got now could be a solution

thanks guys for your input.really appreciate it.i did hot soak twice, but it didn't shrink as much as i wanted.at first i was trying to convince myself that this is how the fits will looks like, but i really cant pull off the look.maybe size down 1 more will do the justice?or maybe sell this off & get a different cut..hmmmm
