i also see people talking about things being marked as gifts or something like that. whats the deal with that?

I sold a bike frame to a guy in Germany once and he told me to mark it as a gift to make it seem as if he didn't purchase it and it was sent to him as a gift. I guess it changes how customs charges you so on. Maybe if you aren't importing products then you aren't charged as much. I know you can also mark the value as less then what it's worth and I'd assume marking it as a gift would help you out. But I don't know 100% hope that helps

just as a side note, if you're sending something to germany, don't label it "gift", label it "geschenk". gift is a german word that translates to "poison".

so im now considering getting those one wash 0500's from Pirates, my waist is around 34.25 inches or so with 25inch thighs, and im considering getting their size 33. according to his measurments, it has a 80 cm waist

and 63cm upper thigh. I know it seems crazy, since that makes the waist 31in (the thigh seems fine to me though), but anyone think i'll be able to stretch them accordingly? all their other measurments are excellent, and given that these stretch a lot im hopeful they are ideal? any insight would be appreciated

You'll be just fine. I got my 31s down to 29" at the waist and kinda freaked out, but they buttoned right up, and stretched right out. need to wear a belt after just one day of trekking around in them.

The texas cotton is amazing for sizing down it seems. I wonder if the s0500 21ozs can do the same?

Just got my S5000VX in from BiG as my first pair of Samurais, decided to return them for a size 30 instead of hoping they'll shrink. Have to say, was blown away by the quality, denim felt bullet proof. There was one thing that threw me off though, they came with a slice of cake.
