I got my new Hawaiis for Christmas, which are great, and have been a knats knacker away from buying some IH's recently...but the Sammies are a whole other thing to me.

I suppose at the very top of the denim tree quality almost becomes irrelevant and its just personal taste, I love the Samurai denim and all the little details (the buttons, the arcs, the pocket bags), those touches just take it that bit further than other brands, in my opinion.

I know I posted these a week back but I gave em a wash with some Thunder Soap, and the fit is about ten times better

After mikecch' idea:

Soaking according to Samurai's "Master"

First (not mentioned but it's important to me), protecting the leather patch.

I used 3 layers of Red Wing Boot Oil during the last days and today one final layer of SnoSeal

Filling the bathtub with the hottest tap water. (I was so hot that I couldn't put my hand in the water. That is why I got scared about my leather patch and added cold water later.)

Added ordinary salt to the water

Contrary to the "Master", I put the jeans inside-out in the water

the arcs won't stay on them for every...you could srub 'em away if you really dislike them.

as beatle suggetsted in WAYWT-thread, another hot soak or hot wash won't hurt

redchris, I would defiantly try to hot soak again(maybe even hot wash/dry) to get some more shrinkage. If not size down.

3 months. First wash the other day. Better pictures next wash.

Mine stretched 2inch's and they are lot ten tagged 28 measure 30, but of corse depends how tight they are....

the pair above measured 33" raw, shrank to 31" and measures 34" now. that's 3" of stretch (and 0,5" is still left I guess)

Oh yeah your right bf mine shrank to 26 as you know lot ten started at tagged size and shrunk! Soooo 4inchs then..

When I get my S003JP's i'm gonna soak them for a couple hours and and hang dry

is there anything else i should do or from that point just wear as normal for a few months til its time to wash?

and should I be worried about the leather?

that's enough for the soaking and taking care of the leather patch.

soaking for 2 hours is long enough. it doesn't hurt to agitate the jeans in the bathtub or bucket

besides that there's nothing more to do than wear them.
