Some Japanese Stores classify the 1108 cut as a 66 cut. Some gues from this forum say they are more like a '47 (slim straight with a higher rise).

At least it features typical XX/40s details.

and some more, like hidden coin pocket selvage

Now to the denim. The XX version uses the 15,5oz denim made of 100% zimbabwe cotton.

The selvage lamé has a pink/salmon color

The denim is quite hairy. I like it a lot

The weave isn't too regular and there are light slubs in the fabric

And first signs of fading

Today I saw a guy at my town's supermarket wearing a new-ish pair of Fullcounts - I'm not really familiar with this brand, but they were a slim cut. Even though I live in Japan, I don't see raw denim sightings in the wild as much as you'd think.

Thanks BF , I've been looking at a few fits I've found online ( very few ) and they seem to fit similar to the 1108's with a stronger taper , I sized down 1 to a 29

yeah the 0105 is refered to as a '53 cut. I think it should give you a classical fit. you could also check the old Fullcount thread as plenty of guys in this contest wore the 0105.

Maybe a hair more tapered than it should be, but still very much a 50s 501 shape.

Thanks all, I forgot completely about the contest. And to be frank, having looked at it, Im not feeling the fit on the 0105s. That tape bothers me a bit. The thighs look generous and the hem seems a bit disproportionately small.

the fullcount 1101 are even more tapered than the 0105...the 0105 is their regular model

the generous waist is the reason why I chose the 1108 instead for the BIG contest; never regretted it one bit; still one of (if not) my favorite fits
