Full Count Denim Thread

A while back, I found a nice, albeit very worn, aloha shirt with the label:

“Paradise” and in tiny print “Made by Fullcount”

I haven’t done an exhaustive search, but I wonder if any of y’all can shed light on this collection. Its rayon, deeply pigmented, has a sheen, and hates taking baths. Pics at some point… I’ve been meaning to ask sufu for as many years as I’ve owned it (a big handful). THANKS EVERYONE

^ I’ve not had a mismatch but I have had FC size 29s come up laughably loose in the waist and 31s needing to stretch - both 0105 so theoretically the same cuts but different denims.

@harls I'm having the same fade line occurring on the back yoke of my pair due to fabric bunching from the rise. I don't normally wear tucked shirts so it doesn't bother me, but I could see it be annoying to some. Do you have your eyes on your next pair already?

I tuck my tees 99% of the time so it's something I've just embraced as part of the journey. I wouldn't consider another pair unless they were to heavily revise the pattern, and in theory I would size up just for a little more width, though this pair still works with everything for me. I'm back to exploring higher and wider cuts at the moment (see my latest post in the TCB thread).

0105 after 18 months of regular wear. Pretty satisfied with these but unlikely to consider another pair due to the excessive back rise (you can see some fade lines on the yoke due to the sag). Something I pay more attention to now... still, they are the most comfortable jeans I've owned and a super versatile cut overall. Plenty of missing threads and some heavy wear on the cuffs.

Not sure what size these are as the patch had a 33 but the inner tag has a 32 – anyone else have this on their pair?

The colour and fades on these are really great!

I also found the back rise too long for me so I sold mine and sized up on some TCBs 50. The denim feels very similar (Zimbabwean cotton) and the rise is much shorter at the back. They also have a baggy version of the 50s coming out you might prefer. The denim is super comfortable

TBCs sized up are exactly what I have in mind for another 50s-style pair. I was thinking either a 34 or a 36 – what sizes did you take in both?

Depending on the brand but I usually go for 42-43 cm across for the waist. I tried a 34 and 36 for the tcb 50. 34 was snug but would have stretched. The 36 fit more like fullcount0105 so went with that. Need a belt after a few days as they stretch but I'm fine with that and have grown (literally) to prefer using a belt than feeling too tight in the waist

Saying all this I ordered the 0105w super smooth the other day directly from fullcount. Just waiting on them being hemmed before shipped. Might take a while as apparently the hem process can take approx a week as they transfer the jeans to get it done. *Sigh might not arrive before I head on holiday though in 2 weeks.

Any fade updates on these for those who have them?

I got it into my head that the lighter fabric would allow me to wear jeans more often during the summer and i do love how comfortable the 13.7 is so assume these will be even more a pleasure to wear.

Of course they'll be dark for this summer but maybe by next year they'll be a nice lighter hue. From what I've seen the texture looks hairy and irregular which I love. The back rise will be too long again but maybe they'll drape better.

Can't comment on the fabric mate but the hem from them direct is the way to go, you will not be disappointed!

The fabric is quite loose and drapey. I used to have them, I found my size 29's fit larger in the waist (possibly due to stretch) and my size 30's in the traditional fabric. They were totally anti-fit sort of thing.

@PrettyBoyTony Here are some janky progress pics on my 0105 super smooth. It was tough to get the true color to come through on the full length pictures - these close up shots did a better job of capturing that.  About 6-7 months in with ~5 washes. I'll take some better ones down the line when I get some more wear in. Plenty of texture even with the lighter weight, enjoying them a lot so far.

They look great! Whiskers as well for a relatively short period of time. They are kinda a brighter blue by the looks of it to the standard denim. Similar to a '1966 type' royal blue? I take it you wore them in the cooler months too?

I haven't handled any other Full Count denim or 60's repros in person, but they're definitely lighter than the TCB 50's fabric if that helps. Also - it could just be the lighting/camera. Took this one in a bit more sunlight. Wore these throughout the winter and they were great! Never felt super cold unless it was subzero temps, haha. Not much in the way of honeycombs...but yes, whiskers are coming through nicely.

Not the best fit pics here but happy with these. The drape particularly at the back is really good. I've had to Japanese cuff though as too long despite the hemming by FC. I should have asked for more off as hadn't taken the rise in consideration. Maybe a wash will knock a bit off the lenght.

Super comfortable. Totally get why these are so popular.20250730_211853.thumb.jpg.96f84cb31950fd921f9332ebf8e4f5dc.jpg
