the dessert frm sybaritical and tg looks like something you'd frame, not eat :jealous:

tonight after work friends and i had double orders of fillet mignon (marinated in miso sauce), rib eye, boneless short ribs, yaki-shabu and spicy miso skirt steak plus veggies not shown

starter was a pumpkin salad, and some sort of mystery fish gloop - the eye went down particularly well

sashimi - swordfish, salmon, maguro, hotate, ebi...

all super fresh! the swordfish was especially well enjoyed. soepom opted not to go for fish with too strong a flavour so she didn't get as wide a spread of the fish.

we were pretty stuffed after all that but this dish was surprisingly refreshing instead of being too cloying. hokkaido-don, which you mix up and wolf down. the collective texture of roe, rice and yam was incredibly smooth. :)

dessert - black sesame ice cream and yuzu sherbet. the manager told us that they called this pairing 小黑小白, which means black and white.

whizkit - i want to try scallop ice cream! bring back in ice-box for me leh! looks like HK is treating you well. :)
