most importantly, get comfortable standing infront of a camera

you should've aimed the camera to not catch that big pole,

and position it lower so you see less of the ground and more of the sky

this way the contrast between the tarmac in the foreground and the nature in the background will be bigger and more interesting

If there's still some give in the waist, then try letting them down a bit. If you can already wear these pretty snug without a belt, then don't force it; that'll make it look very unnatural. Maybe buy jeans a size up next time...
