I sized down one. I tried on 28s (what I usually wear) at Barneys and was able to take them off without unbuttoning them so I ordered 27s from the Dior Homme boutique, hoping for a correct fit.

I know it's a really dumb question, but i've searched the thread and googled it and can't find any places that currently carry it. Is there anyway I can find japanese dior 19cm? I'd assume it's pretty difficult now that the s/s07 stuff is coming out. I know it's been asked, but is the difference in japanese and italian 19cm raw diors worth the extra money?

Thanks for the quick, unnecessarily rude response, but I was asking because info like the sites you gave me is dated. Neither of those sites have 19cm japanese diors. Browns has only grey 19cm(i don't think i'm ready to make the grey denim leap yet) and some 21cms, and louis only has the made in italy bruts. Most of the info in this 50+ page thread has been disputed and argued due to people having drastically different styles. Anyways

I take it that 19cm raw japanese diors are hard to come by nowadays. Any news on more of the japanese ones coming out during the s/s07 season. Louisviaroma only has the italian, so i was wondering if someone more in touch with the japanese scene might know.

I know that people say the japanese ones fit slimmer than the italian diors, but is it worth it to try to find japanese ones, or can the problem be solved by sizing down 2 instead of one for the italians since they're easier to find. The search function in this thread kept sending me back to the main search page so i couldn't find a measurement difference between an italian and japanese 19cm raw to compare if the difference would be worth it in terms of fit and quality of denim.

i just ordered a pair of 21cm bruts from luisaviaroma, and they are made in japan. as you can see on the website, there are two raw 19cm model: the nostalgy, and the brut. the nostalgy, as mentioned in the thread by minya, refers to the italian 19cm model, whereas the brut is the japanese model.

The 19 cm Black Raw japanese denim I bought today isn't selvage. I don't know about the Italian made. I don't think so, I asked the SA at the Dior Homme boutique today in B.H.

these are awesome! tough choice between these and the s5000bks for my fav jeans. not really sure how i want to wear these yet. i think once they loosen up a little i might pull them down a bit. thoughts?

i'm normally a 30. but, thought i would go up on these so i can eventually wear them pulled down a little when they stretch. i wear a 30 in samurais.

with dior's? i suggest you stay on 30's they do stretch but not so much maybe 1/2 and inch to 3/4 of an inch on the waistband

i probably could have got a 30, but my problem with slim fitting jeans is the thighs can get really tight on me. i bike, run and play soccer. i know they'll loosen up there, but i didn't want to chance it. i don't like my jeans skin tight either. i'm happy with the 31.

It is just the lighting. The second set of pictures is a much better representation of the color.
