Got some post-wash pics. It was too overcast for good ones so you'll need an angle to see them well.

The light spot over the combs is from cleaning glue. I didn't realize the glue was there so it got mashed around a bit.

The patch looks really good, Ray! I wish I'd started out with better care for mine. These patches really did need a whole regimen of pre-treatment and constant care.

and the jeans...post wash today (4th wash and initial soak), a little bit too blue in these pictures though

and thats it! too much good food in the past 3 weeks, but i'm not complaining! glad to be wearing these jeans the whole way, they def. aren't contrasty but i'm not holding out on washes anymore. patch hasn't been treated and is holding up real well...

i'm actually surprised at how much these aren't fading...i was under the impression they were fast faders, and under certain light they're definitely more contrasty than they appear in the pictures above. after the wash the color seems to have evened out but i'm looking forward to that blue

Dude, killing it with the food pics. Im a sucker for pork belly. Theres a spot in San Francisco that I go to called brenda's. Its like french soul food. They have cheese grits and por belly with pickled jalepeno peppers, the shit is to die for.

That is some fantastic looking dim sum. I love it but you have to pay attention to your tab. There is no other cuisine that will sneak up on your wallet faster than a dim sum feast!

Fantastic food tour Aho!

I spent this past weekend travelling to Harrisburg, PA to visit some friends on Friday night, and then travelling with them to Philadelphia, PA on Saturday. There was plenty of good food and drink throughout, but not a lot of pictures to show for it.

I tried to snap a few on Saturday night at Union Transfer in Philly, but the combination of the drink and an iphone camera made for less than desirable results.

Regardless, I got to see Desaparecidos after many years of wishing they would go back on tour. They were great, and the venue was very nice as well.

Apparently it used to be a Spaghetti Warehouse, which is essentially an Italian food chain restaurant with a kitsch aesthetic, and it has been transformed into something quite nice for a small crowd. Some shitty pics below:

Joyce Manor opened for them, and I enjoyed their set. Never heard them before, but I like their decision to write one and a half to two and a half mintue long songs that leave you wanting more.

I also have to travel throughout Pennsylvania quite a bit for work, and I spend a lot of time in various county courthouses. Some of them are incredibly beautiful. Many counties more or less competed with each other in the late 1800s to early 1900s to create the most grandiose public buildings they could afford. I'm going to start posting some pics from the courthouses I visit to give everyone an inside glimps of what I see all the time.

The jeans are only with me in spirit at these locations.

These are from the Washington County Courthouse, which I believe was built in or around 1890.

This courthouse services a smaller county in PA, and the city of Washington itself only has about 14,000 people.

I'm an attorney working out of Pittsburgh, and I handle cases that have been filed throughout the state of PA. This means I have to travel througout the state pretty frequently to handle various motions, hearings and other various legal tasks in plenty of the county courthouses. Thankfully, I don't have to travel all the way across the state very often, and usually end up in the western half.

It also means I only get to wear jeans once during the work week on the best weeks, and often not at all.

Edit: If I get a few negs for my chosen profession, I would not be surprised.
