Shoes that look better with age...

Yep got a 11" and 6" engineer boots. If you usually wear a 10 in boots and shoes, I would recommend you get a 10. I tried sizing down, but it turned out to be too tight. When you go true to size, it is only slighty bigger but a perfect fit with an insole. It's murder on the dogs without insoles so definitely keep that in mind.

EDIT: Yes please make sure your US size.

that comment was first directed to House but thanks for your input! :)

shoe sizes vary so much in between different brands. sometimes it's worse than jeans sizing...

I know that those Engineers should be a struggle to get on the first few times and will be more comfortable with more wear. and insoles are also recommended. tried the RW 2268 and the salesman told me so.

so if I wear a US 9,5 in Converse Chucks, would that help you more to give me the right advise?

Yeah I realized that after I posted!

Well, maybe not since I wear a size 9 in chucks and an 8.5 in all dress shoes and boots. I would have to say go with your usual dress shoe or boots size. If you're not sure what that is, it would great if you got your hands on a Brannock device to measure your foot.
