man, it grinds my gears how consistently better the women's stuff is at uniqlo. collections, capsules, even the regular gear. i feel like if i could work the cut i'd be head to toe in beezy-wear.

COS is another mass offender.

Just came back from Uniqlo...a few thoughts

-Hooded parka is decent, fits a bit smaller than expected. I am 5'10 and 148 pounds and a medium fits great. Some people on here would love it but I don't know if it's worth the price (around 200 USD, I am in Taiwan, btw)....

-The wool blazer and pants' quality are kinda shitty... They were my first picks but decided not to buy after seeing them in person. Plus the blazer fits kinda off..

-Had hopes for the wool blend cargo pants and I was impressed by them. The fit is spot on, exactly what I was looking for. I could've gone for a small for a slim fit but eventually went for medium. Medium fits exactly like the model on Uniqlo's site.

-Lots of people went for the jeans, but they were kinda underwhelming, to me at least.

-My favorite is the thick flannel shirt with corduroy patch on the shoulder. Well worth the price (about 50USD here), and medium fits excellent on me. I got the navy and the brown.

-Didn't have a chance to try on the sweatpants, but they look decent.

-The scarf was bullshit.

Checked out the collection yesterday and was disappointed in the quality for the most part. I think the biggest letdown for me was the wool blazer. I do have faith in the mens fleece that has yet to be released though.

Picked up some nice short sleeve dress shirts which were on sale for $10 instead

Had the same dilemma. The micro fleece hoodie looked great oversized on the missus. There's nowhere to go though if you're a large.

I'm confident the UK store will have an XL, which is an Asian equivalent to an XXL (if they did bother to stock sizes that big, looks like they reserve it for UK/USA and stores in the West). As UK XS = Asia S, UK S = Asia M, UK M = Asia L, UK L = Asia XL and UK XL = Asia XXL.

i only have experience with jp uniqlo (which i am normally an XL) in, so i'd be a L in UK? i can usually get away with an l in some jp shit but i'd rather be on the safe side.

just a heads up for you guys looking to order from the UK site, whilst they've adjusted to 'western sizing' for the tops, it appears they've stuck with asian sizing for the pants.

example:

jacket: uk medium = jp large

pants: uk medium = jp medium

after seeing pics of the new stuff on the uk site, i've gotta say i'm disappointed. the bikers jacket looks really crinkly and thin, and the contrast material on the fleece hoodie and jacket just looks kinda shitty. still waiting on the composition info for the heavy gauge sweater and cardigan tho, and definitely coppin the new full zip hoodie. the new colors for the easy tees are also nice.
