I would suggest you should take a look into OOE for custom made Japanese jeans if DV isn't serving you. No 21oz denim though..but who really needs that?

OOE makes you every inseam you want AFAIK.. I could be wrong though

Pretty sure you can custom the inseam as long as you want, they are not that into heavy denim though...

Three month wait, 21oz. and only sixteen days of everyday wear. Gotta git off my lazy butt and write a post about the experience before I drive back up the street and order another pair.

After a first "hand wash" at home around the four-month mark.  These were one-wash from Yu.  My high-efficiency washer has "gentle hand wash" cycle, so I consider this it's first hand wash.  

 

I contacted Yu again this past week to have another pair or two made, but he's busy 'til the end of the month.  When he returns, were gonna sit down and discuss the way ahead.  I'm gonna request that the next piece(s) be raw.

 

At seven months now, these babies are looking really sweet!

How does one get a custom pair of denim by Kuniyoshi-san? 

 

I unfortunately won't be able to travel to Japan until at least December. Can I send my measurements?

The Denimbridge 3rd Lot are made by Double Volante.

Might be worth a look if you can't get a custom pair.

A third option for Double Volante is the Lewis Leathers regular and slim cut jeans, which are made by DV. They look rather nice.

Pretty much taught me how to judge a pair of jeans, at least initially it did.  Raised belt loop, peek-a-boo, correctly sewn yoke, etc.  Ande Whall's site has pretty legit pictures which document his ideology. Pretty similar tbh.

It's still a good thread to look back on.  I can't remember who said it in an interview but there's a wealth of info about construction and fabrics buried on this board if you know how to look.

 

Anyway, has anyone purchased a pair of the denimbridge 3rd model or have any fit pics hidden somewhere?

Was planning getting a new pair of raw... And was thinking about some of those Lewis Leather raw. I'm just wondering how to size on those (don't know if they're OW, sanforized,...).

They look pretty cool, plus I'm getting a bit bored to have to repair my pocket lining every month of wear or so, so the leather pocket lining could be a great trick.

If I ever grab a pair, I will post pics here, don't worry mate. Not really sure for now as my closet is pretty full from now on, but still... They look rather nice, so I'm kind tempted....
