I didn't wear them for all of 2024, so they look pretty much the same; I was wearing the Dior Homme's. Now I'm wearing my Samurai Russia Edition until September 1. I've got a pair of Oni Ishikawadai's squirreled away for the Indigo Invitational. I should've joined the Word of Mouth contest. @shredwin_206

@shredwin_206 Picked up the ‘47 506xx!

I’d been meaning for a while to check out Brogue, which is around 40 minutes from me over in San Carlos. They’re closed on Sundays, which is my main running around day, so it didn’t seem like it was gonna happen organically. Finally made the time yesterday to drive over there and spend a while browsing, and it was a great setup. Decent selection of Freewheelers and also Timeworn Clothing, neither of which are ever available at any of the other shops around here. Overall a pretty cool vibe; it reminded me a lot of Standard & Strange 10ish years ago before they started focusing so heavily on artsier / more fashion forward brands. Seemed really well curated—certainly not everything there was for me personally, but everything that I saw did at least seem interesting and well thought-out, and the whole selection seemed cohesive and intentional, which is more at this point than I can say of Self Edge or Standard & Strange, as much as they both have going for them.

I was mostly interested in trying out some At Last & Co., but nothing that they had in my size really spoke to me. Tried on the TVW 506xx just out of curiosity though, and I’m glad I did. I always figured if I bought a new TVW jacket I’d get it from Seiichiro, and I also always figured I’d take a size 44. Turns out the 44 was way too small (!), so it’s a really good thing I got to try one out in person. Ended up going with a 46 and it fits perfect. Pictures to come.

I made it to Brogue once, on the way home from SF. So nice to have the opportunity to actually try on those brands. I need to get back there.

There’s actually a denim meetup at Brogue this Saturday from like 2-5pm if any of you are interested! I’m not going to be able to make it, but I think even some LA folks are coming up.

That patch didn’t last long.
do they keep shrinking with so many hot washes and drying?

@vlad_III I always hot wash and dryer. Yes it always jerky the tags. Hah. Idk if they’re shrinking but I’ve been hitting the gym a lot so legs are growing as well

Next pair size up!

I’m hitting the gym and they are getting looser. Opposite problem lol

@vlad_III I did size up from 33 to 34. I think 36 would be way too sloppy to wear.

Probably. In that case you should at least feel very good about the gains!

about the shrinkage, was just wondering if the length changes much with frequent washing and drying. Or if it stops after the first one or two.

I give raws two warm washes and dryer runs and then just wash cold from there. Haven’t noticed dramatic changes.

I lost an inch in the inseam with the first hot wash and dry of my one wash 47's and it hasn't shrunk at all after that with many more (cold) washes and dryer trips.

Lot.506XX 30s model (size 40, cold soaked, from 2013)

Looks like a great fit on that jacket.
What happened between 2013-2025?

what jeans are those?

Thanks
It works well with just a t-shirt. A more snuggish fit.

I mentioned the year, because that style (they called it EARLY 1900s 1st Generation Denim Jacket 1930s MODEL) hasn't been issued much more after that, I think.
It's got no tab, a black cinch. Probably more details.
The denim is: Original 14oz Indigo Denim.
But the weft is "with a slightly beige color". Not sure, if that is normal for the original denim. They tweaked it a few times, I think.

I think, I got this one with the intention of wearing it unwashed. That's why I got it in 40 and not my then usual 42.
For a more comfy fit for example I got the 1933 one in 48.

The jeans should be in the WAYWT. I think, it's WH 1946 25th anni.

Yes, 48. It works as a wide, comfy fit.
The 40 is more a 42.

Here is the 1933-34 jacket in size 48.

I think, after the first wash I folded them back. But after another wash they're fine.

The 1933 (I think, it was also described as 1933-34) 506XX size 48 measures as follows:
shoulder to shoulder- 55cm
pit to pit-                      65 cm
shoulder to cuff-         61cm
back length-                65cm

The 1930s 506XX in size 40 (NW/rinsed only) measures:
shoulder to shoulder- 48cm
pit to pit-                      56 cm
shoulder to cuff-         63cm
back length-                59cm

FWs has now issued their crotch rivet, no cinch, denim pocket bags model. They categorize it as Second Half of 1945.
I think with the Spring 25 presentation there had been some teasers.

Apparently this model was produced from the latter half of 1942 until the latter half of 1945.

Pics from Wolfpack and Mirrorball.
