Freewheelers doesn't get nearly enough love around here 😀... so timely to say I really like this 30s denim...

@MJF9 this is my special occasions shirt. I bought it a couple years ago from Hoosier. Bought a Neal chambray at the same time. Sadly that shirt started snug and seemed to keep shrinking after every wash so doesn’t fit at all anymore.

I think, the trackwalker wabash shirts used to be items of the permanent collection.
But you're right, I think, that they haven't been issued in a long time, while there were reissues of the wabash chore coat for example and vest, I think in the recent years.

patch is toasted and gone. Back pocket tearing from tools in pocket at work. Crotch getting thin.

I was a bit hesitant at first about the vertical fading.
But with FWs one can trust that things will looking aesthetically.
And with the fading pics here, foremost by fader extraordinaire @shredwin_206, my concerns were allayed and I got a pair as I was curious what their WWII denim was like.
And I wasn't disappointed. Neither by the cut. Wearing them feels really good.

Great pickup @indigoeagle I’m curious to see fit photos. I passed on these because I was told that it’s a slimmer cut than the previous version war era s601xx

I don't find them particularly slim.
For the W34 the hem is 22cm (8.66 ").
So not super wider either.

Just to show some comparison for 33 waist.
Rise and leg room are the two most important measurements for me these days.
The new s601xx has a small thigh measurement

For the W34 I got 34cm (ca. 13.4") in the S601XX with denim pocket bags.
They are a bit slimmer than my W33 in the FW1937s, but not much.

Ha! .. no, all my tools live on my bench.

I get a bit of damage to the opening of the front pockets from the tape measure clip but i nvr carry tools around in my pockets

Yes. Channel locks, level, and tape measure on us at all times. They don’t stay in the vest very well so tend to get out in pockets. Never had them burn through the bottom like this before. May need to stuff a bandanna in the pocket to protect the hole. Haha

@shredwin_206 I only have the black Chopper Builder shorts mate... no fades ... nice ample rise... Hoosier has some actual measurements up on his IG which it's best to check as iirc the waist came up on the smaller end of the scale. They have waist fasteners so you can bring waist in if needed if you go for a bigger size.
