I just couldn’t let these 30s contest jeans sit! @theguywhoknewthatguy had these listed in the sale section for a few months and thought someone else would join us, so I waited patiently. No one snapped them up! So I guess I have a 2nd pair of contest jeans-hope I’m not doing anything illegal! Cant imagine wearing them as much as my original pair, but we’ll see. #192

Scored a Necchi BU Mira off FB marketplace for $50 the other day. Needs some cleaning but I'm excited to get it running. Been hunting for a Necchi for over a year now and finally came across one that wasn't some ridiculous price or in another state.

Quick update on my old s506. Such an excellent jacket.

Thoroughly enjoyed wearing these 220’s. Faded too quickly though, this is from 1 year with a bit of other jeans in rotation.

It looks like the weather is going to turn to shit this weekend so i took today off.. God damn neighbours put this Furby under their tree before they moved back to Holland.. it's been out through the winter yet, 2yrs later and it still speaks, it scares the shit out of me! ..early game of tennis.. my kid has been working on the allotments this week, doing all the jobs the old folks don't want to do.. digging, strimming, removing brambles and such, he starts at 12.30.. one of the neighbours kids used to do it but he's on a gap year in Bali. When i was a kid, my folks would take me, my friends and cousins out bilberry picking, we'd all have a bucket or a Wall's Icecream tub.. there would be a gang of kids on th hillside, our hands stained purple for the week.. they'd make bilberry jam, bilberry cheesecake, bilberry wine.. we'd live off them through the autumn, yet cost of living crisis and the bilberries are going to waste.. ? ..stopped for a pint of Absolution at the Norfolk Arms ..and home

I stopped consistently working farmers’ markets around a year and a half ago, but I still like showing up on Tuesday evenings to get my (and the contest jeans’) weekly workout packing up my friends’ produce truck for them

I really enjoy wearing these Two Moon 530. They are surprisingly rigid for long staple cotton but that's nice.

I’ve been feeling similar, but for me I think it’s less to do with the seasons and more to do with the jeans I’m wearing. Tender tops are really polarizing for me, in that they can either feel really fantastic or just sort of weird and out of place depending on how I style them, without a lot of middle ground. They feel best with wider jeans (and, frankly, bestest with Tender jeans), so wearing the slimmer Word of Mouth contest jeans most days has just meant that my Tender tops don’t see much use, which is a bummer. That said, becoming more cognizant of this sort of pattern was a big part of why I was interested in committing to the contest in the first place, so I can hardly complain: it’s already been a good learning experience. ~ to keep things on topic ~ Great Lakes bag + hat, Tender shades, The Vanishing West jacket, Union Special shirt, Hollows belt, contest jeans, Russell mocs

One of my favs in my collection. YOT print is on the inside of a Mickey Mouse shirt. Bought it from my friends resale shop for like $15 cos I don't think he knew just how cool of a piece he had.

Switch from one to another on alternate days, then hand in the best looking pair at the end of the contest.

After the third wash (I think). The usual bike seat fade and mild whiskering from a loose fit. Marbling galore. Waiting for that new shade to creep through, but still sitting on more or less the original rinsed indigo blue.

Another trip around the sun this weekend. We had a one day reprieve from the heat so I took advantage. It’s mostly been too hot recently to wear pants or denim unless I absolutely have to do so at work Ebbets field/Whitesville/Rockets/Red Wing
