The Evolution of Jeans: Pictures, Scones and Tea

Just got my SD-307's back from Rain and Tyler at Indigo Proof. I gave them free reign to do whatever needed to be done and boy did Rain go to town! So many little things that I did not notice have been fixed, replaced, or reinforced. If you have the time (took a loooong time) I highly recommend sending your stuff to them.

Anyway here they are, maybe about 5 months of effective wear and countless washes:

Repair details:

There is still more done to them that I'm randomly finding...

my fave fading area, under the cinch where the excess fabric forms creases and folds from being pulled tight.

i like the royalish blue of the cone denim and the feel of it, smooth and soft but somehow also hefty. but the surface texture is pretty boring compared to jap denim. the cut on this is golden for me though, out of 6 jeans in my rotation at the moment, this gets first pick most times.

x-post from TFH thread

F380 with 200 wear days since May 2015, right before their 11. machine wash:

Made two small amateurish repairs so far. Inseam started to unravel in the right leg:

And my phone started to punch through the left back pocket:

And here they are right after their 11. wash:

I'm very satisfied with how they're turning out. The streaky texture pops more with every wash.

Hi,

these are my TFH 1001's. I have this pair for 2 years and had about 1,5 year of heavy wear. I've washed them 5 times and they had a couple of soaks. They also have been repaired quite a lot (at this moment as well). I really like the evolution of the 16oz denim. Hope you like them too!

Best regards,

Jarno

IH634SR and Imperial Shearers

Both need repairs, the Shearers especially. Was bending down to carry my dog into the car and as soon I bent all the way down heard a huge rip.. Was cracking up at what happened.

fit pics anywhere?

To repair these would cost me $50 each give or take. If you find some Iron Hearts or Imperials for around that price let me know.. I thought I was done wearing both but for some odd reason I keep going back to wearing either one. Even if I have one side of my closet filled with jeans. You can see which I wear the most.

Edit: I'll post some fit pics later.

What incredible amazing results!!

What would be the hardcore fraction of the raw denim community without you

Even non commercial the Jeansmuseum would fund you the repair cost. Or in case you wanna give them an eternal life at my place let me know
