cross-post from relevant threads..

Samurai s5000vx 17oz and Sugarcane Okinawa, both purchased from a forum member in October 2010, both with about a year's full-time wear and washes as required.

Not more than three or four washes for either, though.

Jesus what have you been doing in them? That yoke stitch is pretty destroyed.

It's happening to mine too! I'm doing anything particularly rough, the threads are just that weak.

had a similar wear pattern on my 1st ever Denime ... a lifetime ago.

i had been hot [machine] washing+drying them frequently.  the cotton thread got brittle & was literally crumbling down.  also, i was wearing them loose&low,  so the yoke was the area that gets worn in from frequent contact with the rough concrete pavement when i sit.

since no one ever talks about it, here are a pair of schaffer's house jeans after about a year, but more like 6 months worth of wear. Kilhara denim. they're probably my go to pair at the moment, fit was customized with his program. small rip in the right thigh cuz i snagged a screw in my cousin's yard. but he repaired that as well.

Ah man that sucks, yeah all the squats caused me to out grow my pair as well. Kinda tempted to just have em sliced in half and framed now.

International Concepts (Stockholm-Skinny Fit)- kind of a no-name brand, found this pair 2-3 years ago on sale at Macy's for $20-30. Since, around1-1.5 years of wear. Handful of soaks, 1 machine wash. Pic is in the gorgeous summer Texas sun.

This is a more accurate representation of my retired (hemmed too short) Gap Selvedge from 06/07, before they started doing redline.gap+back.jpggap+front.jpggap+pocket.jpggap+tags.jpggap+top+block.jpg

I did wash em (after I took that picture)! They had some creases, but they're some kind of awful polyester or something that didn't really transfer into the photos.
