Droopy ass is why I sold my SS pair. I like to think I’m actually not that picky on fits. But it only got worse with a few wears. Hip flare? Whatever. Diaper butt - who cares, these are jeans. Little bit of camel toe bunching in the front. Meh, whatever.
But the SS droopy ass was something else, the fabric was just so drapey and the rise so high and elastic, and that was sizing down one from my 13.7 oz pair. Oh well.

@PrettyBoyTony I can’t speak to what to expect from the cut in general since I’ve never tried a pair, but based on that photo you posted of them drying it looks like they’re a couple sizes bigger than your TCBs pretty much everywhere? You might be happier with the fit through the seat if you sized down some

This is how mine end up looking most of the time. The front sags a bit (to the point) and the back is super high.

Doesn’t bother me too much when I don’t have a shirt tucked or am wearing a sweater but feels off sometimes when I tuck my shirt in. I’m also 6’1 which probably makes it more apparent.

Definitely not the end of the world and still a nice fit in general but yeah, would love a more balanced rise.

@beautiful_FrEaK thanks for posting that, I was about to go hunting for the link.

Seems like you’re right and the resulting fit is as intended and I guess the roomy butt section sort of makes sense for sitting down comfort.

Reminds me of the Ironheart pocket spacing a bit where it has a practical application that ends up impacting the silhouette.

If I could get the beer fat to go to my butt instead of my belly I think the problem would be solved.

@julian-wolf i had the smaller size previously (32) but found the waist waist on the tight side

I sized down two sizes for my SS's. I originally bought a 33 and then sized down once more to a 32 after the saggy butt and bunched up crotch became more apparent. As others have mentioned...if you're a shirt tucker I think the high back rise can look a little odd. I think sizing down two lost a little bit of the roominess in the legs I was looking for, but I still like the fit. If I could have the 32 waist with the 33 legs that would of been ideal for me.

@PrettyBoyTony go with your gut. From the outside, it seems like you think you should like these jeans, but maybe you don’t - and that’s ok. You may end up wearing them regularly, but never feel comfortable in them. Don’t waste your time, just move them on and move on to and try something else.

I’ve bought jeans based on how they look on someone else, and I’ve hated them. I’ve bought jeans based solely on fabric and they sat/sit in my closet. I’ve spent years wearing jeans as I liked how they faded (based on someone else’s wear) and not based around fit; they didn’t turn out great (IMO) because ultimately they didn’t fit great.

So much of this is trial and error, and ultimately you’re the one wearing the jeans and you’ll know when you find a pair you want to spend time wearing - not what you think you should be spending time wearing and not looking to be convinced as to what you should be wearing.

‘Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, my opinion, man.’

I've also made that experience. I got both the 0501 and the 1101 in 34.
Comfy fit with both.
Having heard that the Smooth ones fit large I got the 0501 in 33. But somehow they were different. So I returned them and got the 1101 in 33 instead and am happy with them.

How do the 1101 compare with the 0105 in terms of fit? Obviously I’ve seen photos but would be good to hear a perspective from someone who has both.

I’ve been considering a pair of the XX as I want a heavier denim and don’t really want to go 0105 again. Is the front rise similar on the 1101?

Actually I have the 1101 in XX and the 0105 in the 13.7oz.
The back rise isn't as high with the 1101 and the leg isn't as wide. But it's still a pretty relaxed fit.
It's a bit similar to the Denime Lot220A, but the front rise is a bit lower and the leg a bit wider.
