I spent an uncomfortable night in Narita once after missing my flight.

Ive slept in a fair share of airport terminals for flights that get in at like 3am and the connection is at around 8 or 9. Best part is waking up in what was a completely empty terminal but is now completely packed, going "where the fuck am I?"

In Narita the terminal closed at about 11pm and they herded us all up and put us in the train station where the police came round and questioned us all as to why we were there...

I got my uni results today for my intercalation of a second degree - Biomedical Sciences. I got a 2:1 for it!

Wanted to get it over and done with, so now I've got the rest of my time at med school only worrying about medicine and not having to do a second degree to compete for a job when I graduate.

Fuck pretty much doing a three year degree in one year. I would not recommend this shit to anybody. Especially with a broad degree like Biomed. I should have done something more specialised like Genetics or Anatomy on hindsight, would have required a lot less reading about.

Edit: I forgot to say I am glad it is done and I am happy with the end result.

i just found out about Camp 30 and have started reading up about it (it was a WWII German POW camp about an hour east of Toronto) only to find out that it's about to be ripped down to make way for a housing complex. this kind of shit really bothers me, is it really worth losing a chunk of history this interesting and unusual for MORE model homes?! I wrote to the mayor and councilor but I somehow doubt it will have much of an impact.

so I may or may not have lyme disease. I have to go get bloodwork done, but I've never felt this utterly shitty. Everything hurts, I've got a cold as well, and I just can't summon the energy to do anything. When I got home from work I got into bed and basically shut down until about 15 minutes ago and upon getting up my entire body felt like it just completely and utterly had crapped out.

I really could do without lyme disease.

One of my friends was diagnosed with lyme disease! She's fine now, but they went through this massive list of possible diagnoses until they finally figured it out.

I've read up on Lyme disease... It's a messed up disease that that they really need to funnel money into research and developing a vaccine for.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that your tests come up negative man. But if you have it, hopefully its in the early stages....it's more successfully treatable if detected early on.
