Denime

Recommended Posts

I have the 10th Anniversary (1952) and the 1937 bought from new in Covent Garden (Interstate) in around 1999 or thereabouts. From what I recall they were ridiculously expensive then (retail was around £350). Problem is I have so many pairs of Denim I'm having trouble working out which are the 1952 ones. (1951 had the black writing on the label?). I guess they will be the ones with Orrizonti on the label so will try and dig them out for pictures. I also have the 20th Anniversary - don't like em much, tight fitting undersized and thin denim, remind me of a fashion cut rather than a classic jean.......

The only fit pic here of the 20th anni pair by beatle

finally..after thinking about it for over a year I picked up a pair of the 20th edition..

denim is really vintage color - pretty light with a hint of greycast.
fit is dope - what you expect from a 55 66 mix - slim fit but a tad more room

Yes mine are size 36 (when raw) will dig them out.<br />According to Naoki (3 years ago when I sent him photos) the 10th Anniversary was also known as the "New 501XX" and was a thinner material than the standard 501XX (which I also have and couldn't tell the difference) but had a better thread and was a lot more expensive.....

Naoki identified the jeans by the lot numbers:

I can understand , No.024 ,No.774,No.143 are all 501XX . And No.772 jeans is New 501XX, so only this one must have been very expensive. Because you told me that you bought them in1999.

He also told me one pair were a ww2 as they had no rivet on the coin pocket and doughnut buttons and yellow stitching! Knows his stuff!
