since they got their first, unwanted rain soak the other day, they're now stiff as a cardboard again and i thought i should take some pics to show where i'm at (still at the beginning as you can see ;D )...

Louis, your pbj look fad. Wish I had skinny legs to pull off a pbj cut haha. How do you stand wearing the heavy denim in our heat? I'm wearing my UB221s quite sparingly to preserve the indigo and because of Singapore's humidity. Usually only wear them when I know I'm going to an air conditioned place haha.

So I was out yesterday in the Crowsnest Pass for work.  I have been trying to find (through dumb luck mostly) an old abandoned mining village called Lille.  Look it up in Google for pictures.  Anyways, did not manage to find it but a hillbilly on a quad indicated that I was on the right path I just had to hike for about an hour.  Being that it was on my lunch break, did not have the time.  So I took some pictures from the hood of my vehicle as well as the one below of a pretty little stream.

Ok, last shots for the 2nd contest, I swear!  I just really like being outside in the mountains, so this one was easy for me!  In fact, earlier today, I went for a nearly 3 hour run on some super gnarly terrain a few canyons over from where I went tonight.  Too bad I wasn't wearing my jawnz for that... could have gotten some ridiculous pictures.

HC-SF-40 in MBBs checking in for challenge 2, with something a little bit different. One of my passions is pinhole photography so here is a shot of me on top of a military pillbox on the north Norfolk coast. I obviously moved a little during the exposure (about 3 seconds). For those that care, the shot was made with a Zero Image 6x9 medium format camera on Kodak Ektar...if you want to see more shots then I have lots here (there are also regular shots on my main Flickr page).

HWDC Challenges - Round 3

Ok, ok, I know I'm a day early but what the hell right? For the next three challenges we go through 3 HWDC themes, allow me to explain......

HWDC1 - Heavyweight Drinking Challenge

10 drink minimum and we want to see every one of those drinks, plus the state you're in after them. For those who are wondering, yes I am talking about booze.

HWDC2 - Heavyweight Driving Challenge

Get in your motor and take us somewhere cool, show off your wheels and head out on to the open road. WARNING - this challenge is NOT to be performed in conjunction with challenge 1.

HWDC3 - Heavyweight Drawing Challenge

Ok artists, show us your skills. Lets see your denim related drawing, painting or computer generated artwork, which must (obviously) be denim related.

Go forth and challenge it up Champs, this set of challenges will self destruct on October 27th.

penfold. what medium format do you use? i use a small format canon av-1. ektar is a really good film. though i still prefer the old agfa films which are hard to find.

 

mega. i have this very urge to do both challenge 1 and 2. though of course not concurrently. hahaha.

I had taken some pics for round 2, then flashed a new ROM on my phone and seem to have lost them. I'll do my best to get another couple in the next coupcouple of days. It may even have to combine with round 3, as I ride my bike most everywhere...
