On my end, I just got my old pair of Russells back from the factory. I had them refurbish it, shorten the height a bit, and put new ( & different) soles on.

Very happy with the end result:

They only mention replacing the crepe soles on Wallabees, but I would imagine they do DBs as well.

I did. The tops were really wide, looked weird under any jeans but boot-cut. These were the 8" harness, seem to be wider than the taller model.

finally i got my rw-boots back. to make up for the delay i received some nice gifts and my next reapir will be free.

i actually wanted the "real" gt-style sole at first, but we came to the conclusion, that this would be better and more comfortable. i´m glad, that walking in these doesn´t feel like walking on plastic-soles anymore. actually it feels really good now.

i am glad that they reached you eventually,Atzec.a quick phonecall can do wonders sometimes! that Effekt Ledergel is great,I used it on my A-2 recently,Sven swears by it for anything leather.that sole looks a lot better than the original GT one,you will not collecting all that gravel like i do these days.

i think they already used the Effekt on the boots. Leather feels amazing and a lot better then before.
