I picked up the Indigo tiny check popover. I'm wearing it with my MF Apache vest in the pic I posted over in the MF thread the other day. It's an amazing shirt

man...it really chaps my ass that I shelled out $250 for the Made in USA chambray last year despite the fact that it didn't have the selvedge detail I had seen on other shirts and now these shirts have said detail

this guy has some LVC at startlingly good prices - rigid 47s, 37s and 20s, plus some 67 505s for around 80 quid.

^I bought some LVC from the Jingo store a while back, this looks like the last of that same batch. The 201s I got were true to tagged size and didn't shrink on soaking, were from 2007. The washed '55s 'Roaring pride" were IIRC 3" over tagged size.

How slim are the fitting on a 67 505? They must be the only model I've not tried on, whats the closest fit/shape to them 44, 47 or 66?

Then again, I can't go down below 33 due to waist..

those fit well, they will trim up some once you get the shrinkage out of them. they may be snug in the waist ofter a hot soak but they'll stretch back out. looks like the correct 55 fit to me.

'67's are not like '47's, they are pretty roomy and high rise at the top and then taper down. '47's are not roomy at all and straight as hell.

Something completely different: any of you guys have any experience with the 'rough rinse' LVC's, thinking of getting me a '44.

If they are snug at the waist now, that's the best you can do. With '55s you generally need the smallest size you can fit raw for a slim after-soak fit.

Looks like they're going to shrink down and give a proper 50s fit. You want slimmer, get a pair of 66s in the same size as the 55s.

I thought about getting 66s but i don't like the shape of the back pockets and the arcuate.. I should've gotten 34 for my 47 but i didn't know better back when i got them in 36.

oh damn, what a bummer. they were advertised as LVC's though. guess i wont be picking these up. was looking for a pair of 47's or 66's for a friend in a W34 L32. got me happy when i chanced upon these. thanks shorty for the help!

Yeah, they look to be modern "vintage" Levi's ca. 1993, as evidenced in the last pic. Not a bad find, though.

those are just 90's era STF as Shorty said. i'll bet they're not selvage and have felled double stitch inner seams. remember levi's brought back the 501xx name in the 80's in their regular 501's. being made in mexico they're not worth a premium at all over regular stf prices.

more likely a 36, rarely do you see a 34. i have seen 34's by lee but not levis (that's not to say they didn't make them, i've just never seen one) btw the font looks like LVC to me rather than original big e.

it's stamped '52' , I think all the numbers on lvc are either 555, or larger correct?

well partly correct; 554 LVC-San Antonio. don't know 52 but i would assume it to be vintage there was a 520-something that's vintage. there may be a third digit hiding there.

yea, I checked: 52 on 12 of the 14 buttons. Also I highly doubt it's lvc; on the interior in blue marker the owner 'JOEY/JODY' has written their name in what appears to be 9-10 year old handwriting. It's barely worn, despite feeling as though it might fetch a decent sum I think I am gonna set it back for any potential little robbies who might appear down the road a piece.

the 47s arrived today... i realise the question's doubtless been asked numerous times, but they are already snug on the waist pre-shrink. will they stretch back out, or would i be best selling them on?

they're 2007 S1 stock.

killer if they're tight raw return them. if they fit ok raw but you fear shrinkage wear them in the tub with the hottest water you can stand, this will shrink the inseam but give you a good custom fit in the top block. try to wear them dry or at least to damp. after that cold hand wash or gentle cycle & line dry for the next 3-5 washes. after that you're safe. i've bought my 47's in the correct waist size raw and could not afford shrinkage in the waist, this is how i've done mine and always gotten a very good fit.

hm, well they're comfy enough, but i wouldn't want the waist any tighter tbh. think i'll probably give them a crack anyway & sell them on if it doesn't work. maybe it'll encourage me to eat less pies.
