Samurai Jeans 5th Year Anniversary Feeler Thread

Recommended Posts

Damn, hours and $$ have been so tight. This next paycheck will guarantee these pants for me though, unless something bad happens (knock on wood). Fuck working shitty no-future jobs lol ahhh

Let's just call it commitment and dedication right?? Shewt

Hi Tilmann

Sorry for my late reply.

After a heavy flu I just had too much work at my geographers job and I was forbidden to open any forum site.

And yeah, all pants arrived and they are super great!!!

The Studio d'Artisan and the Nudies straight Sven are awesome!

Thinking of widen the Straight Sven out again to former original cut. Luckily the selvage is still there.

Hoppe to have more time, but will be busy till Oct. 23.

So in case I miss anything about the Samurai 5th anniversary, just PM me

No problem at all Ruedi!

Did my package finally made it to you?

Hi Tilmann

Just PM my other Email address. But you can take both of them.

And I'm quite busy but try to update some fit pics in the SD's later

^^^^And Greeneye: A G-Star contest would be super great in 2 years after the Samurai.

Indeed it would be very interesting to see some G-Star fadings for the Jeansmuseum. Not because of the high denim quality but they are incredible popular around my place.

I would love, if G-Star would redo the US-Lumber selvage once again. They were super great pants 12 years ago!!!!

And it's good that the Samurai contest will start soon. Because some parts of my current Denim contest pants are real hungry to be downgraded fast to get even more and harder actions on them. My right front pocket is already showing more and more freedom of getting a new style on them. Still never washed or soaked and close to 600 days of wear

Just one pic. I don't wanna spoil this thread too much with 15 oz denim.

Didn't want to let the cat out of the bag yet, but I am also working on my contribution to the contest tonight... we're going to have an official contest blog that will let all 30 participants post their updates and antics.

At least a blog for all of us to update, and probably a nice gallery and user filter so we can easily view everyone's evolution and trips throughout the year. All wrapped up in a pretty package. Not gonna share the url yet... but stay tuned!

Nicholas, those cuts of leather are looking good... can't wait for all of this to kick off!

hollows I still owe you for my bracelet, don't worry I haven't forgotten...it looks like I'll be getting a late start to the contest anyways (hopefully a week or two at the most) but I'll keep you posted...Many thanks for your understanding!

I PM'd you but here for all:

From my experience 3" after all shrinkage is done.

But you have to keep in mind:

Shrinkage is a percental thing...so if you start with the standard inseam of 38,5", the denim will shrink more inches compared to a pair that have been hemmed to let's say 34".
