Just brace yourself for the massive customs charge!

This, but I wouldn’t use a forwarder unless they will mark down values to dodge import taxes, better off taking the hit personally. You can expect 20% Vat plus an import value, you can work it out by using the import com code given by ACR shop, those guys are helpful. All MS stock comes from Czech.
Make sure you get the right size as returns are costly both ways and UPS will deliver it or maybe lose it twice in my case. I asked for DHL in the end for safety.

Just expect the hit and really want the piece.

Can someone share their experience about the relatively new -CH (51% cotton, 44% polyamide, 5% elastane) on J111, P48 or P36?

How does it perform (overall durability, patina appearance, etc.) compared to the old version of -CH (54% modacrylic, 43% cotton, 3% elastane) on such items as FW14/15 P16A, FW15/16 P10A, SS16 P10?

Does anyone know the difference between J119-WS and J95-WS ? I've been looking at both pages for 5 mins and they look the same. Also buying in size M if anyone has it, hit me up.

J95 doesn’t have a hood.

J119-WS has Interops zip, different shoulder pattern, additional articulation at elbows.

I can't speak to durability yet but the newer CH seems lighter. Almost like E fabric but without the George Costanza effect. Older CH was more 3 season, newer CH seems more summer to me so far.

As i remember (sold my all old ch items 1-2 yrs ago) the new CH is soft, thin & light as old CH on my P10A FW15/16 and P16A & J40 FW14/15, all were in night colorway. But P10 SS16, P10A & P23TS FW16/17, have really thicher CH.

Also new CH in black = old CH in night colorway.

as if things couldn’t get any worse…. volt 3a accessories incoming. smh

As long as you can still buy the regular one, it's fine, I guess. But I'm more disappointed about the jacket situation. Just look at the J47A, clean, refined, minimalist, yet unmistakably ACRONYM. Meanwhile, the J123TS looks like an abomination, randomly stitched together from different parts of the past.

This may be a silly question but can someone who owned or still owns the J27-GT describe how the hood should be stored away? This is the 19/20 version with the shake-dry hood. I just took mine out of storage after ages and couldn’t figure how it works. Versus the J28 with the 3D collar, the hood can be folded and held in place with Velcro but as far as I can tell there’s nothing like that for the 27? The shake-dry hood is super thin so rolls easily and be put inside the collar but there’s nothing to hold it in place but maybe that’s just how it’s suppose to be.

There’s been a lack of discourse here so here’s my review of the P56A-E thus far. Starting from the waist down:

Straps:

  • Get in the way of high position cargo pockets especially when the pockets are left in an open position.
  • My workaround is wrapping the straps toward the deep pocket entry and holding them down using the pocket snaps (not pictured on mothersite, but shown on IG post). Sometimes I will insert the straps into the deep pockets for extra concealment but I find it clutters the space. I think the belt system from the original P36 would’ve worked great here.

High Position Cargo Pockets:

  • One-handed unzip is easier than returning it to zipped. I suspect this is due to the zipper in a curved position vice a straight position like the lower cargo pockets.
  • Better suited for bulkier, heavier items like keys and phones.

Lower Position Cargo Pockets:

  • One-handed zip/unzip smooth in both directions. This applies even in a seated position.
  • Stored items tend to hit my knee area but do not affect the overall drape of the pants. Personally do not find myself utilizing the internal phone pocket because of this issue.

Adjustable hem:

  • Instead of an analog drawcord hem they opted for a shockcord hem adjuster. IMO, this is one of the best features. Not only for its ease of use, but it eliminates the excess drawcord fabric from sight since the shockcord runs vertically and internally. This is also not depicted on product photos. I can provide photos if anyone is interested.

Fabric/Overall Fit:

  • Definitely best suited for hotter climates. Very little heat retention and I find myself wearing a layer of Uniqlo Heattech beneath during these colder months (even in SoCal).
  • Shape is very similar to the Needles BDU parachute pant and P30AL without the drop-crotch.

Sound Signature:

  • Good luck sneaking up on Helen Keller because these joints are noisy compared to DS. Small criticism, but just thought I’d mention it.

Shameless plug: Selling a few items on the other FS page.

Even the velcro on the older 3D collars isn't great...if you are not wearing something over your neck, there is all kinds of scratchy shit hitting you and doesn't really secure the hood on the sides so it is kind of unrolling. I must be doing it wrong ?

Thanks for digging yours out and responding dude! Yeah I saw the tab on the neck and thought about it hooking into the fastener into the rolled up hood but it seemed more like an “accidental” way of being able to do it rather than a design feature so thought I’d ask.

I definitely agree that the Velcro didn’t always work well but that could be said of a lot of other features so I won’t get into it. In regards to the hood storage on the 3D collars, it really forced you to basically roll-up/fold the hood a specific way or else the collar would be slanted inwards and constantly hit your neck causing a nuisance like you said.

Agreed. I can't really figure out what the velcro tab is for but it doesn't work great when I use it to stow the hood 🙂
