Be prepared to be ripped on bud with those questions! ;)

Yes you need to soak them, inside out. It's up to your descretion in which way you soak ie:

If they are tight on the waist presoak > Cold soak for 30 minutes in bath tub.

If they are loose on the waist presoak > Hot soak for 45 minutes in bath tub.

If they are extremely loose presoak > Boiling hot water for 45 minutes.

Anything in between, adjust accordingly. Hang dry. Wear.

No more silly questions k!

I have a comment about this: say, you did the cold soak according to this. Later, after a few months have gone by and your ready to wash the jeans, wouldn't they just shrink further than before because it wasn't all taken out from the get-go? Never could fathom all those differnt "grades" of initial soaking.

In the grand scheme of soaking... soaking a jean for even 5 minutes in cold water will get rid of 75% of the shrinking once the jean has fully dried. So you can completely control how much a jean shrinks by how you soak and dry it initially. Past that once it fits the most it's going to shrink is another 1.5" in the length and about 1.5" in the waist (but keep in mind that by this point it's stretched out about that same amount).

is it better to turn them inside out?
Doesn't make much diff to turn inside out.

It doesn't make a difference unless of course your cleaning freak housemate decides to clean your bath with some heavy duty cleaners (caustic soda or something), leaving small traces in the bath tub and you place your new jeans in there to soak for 45 minutes. Even if there is the tiniest amount, turning inside out helps against direct contact, narrowing the chance to get unsightly blots or discolored lines/creases! Just my 2 cents...

Haha true but not everyone has residue of caustic soda in their tub :)

If I wear a 32 in Skull S5010xx, should i go with a 33 in FH 1001 for a similar fit?

I'd go with the same size as your Skull size.
