The Flat Head

Let me try again. These are a size 34 waist. They are not super skinny from the knee below, so wearing them too long won't look right. IN other words, I can't stack them.

They have been soaked and the inseam now measures 36. I need to get them hemmed since I'm only 5'8. If my normal inseam is a 30, how much should I get taken off. Do you think these will look better with a little bit longer inseam or just normal?

then make them your normal inseam... or hem them to a 31 and one inch cuff

They'll stretch back to their presoak measurements in the thigh and waist. Depends what you do in them... since I bike a lot, the thighs stretched a bunch.
ok thanks.

when you say they shrink a lot i gather that is in length and tighten through the legs.

they dont shrink past tagged waist size do they? im in between sizes at the moment so im trying to establish which size i need.

cheers

hey these actually do stretch quite a bit. i was suprised when i measured them. This is my first time measure them and these are a size 30.

measurements big style:

waist: 15.5 x 2 = 31

front rise: 9

back rise:10

leg opening: 7.25

thigh: 10.5

so these have stretched pretty much to when they werent soaked yet.

beautiful. exchange rate must have hurt though

Yeah, kinda.. but that wallet is one of the way cheaper ones because of the type of thread that's used and also the leather is thinner and it's not hand polished, it's machine finished.

They started offering the cheaper ones last fall...

umm im a big fan of doing a wash after all that wear. it gives a great contrast and cleans your jeans better than a soak. your premium japanese selvedged jeans CAN take a wash. its not like its gonna like kill them.

hope this helps

i think its the same denim. i put them through a lot of shit too. i walk about 2 miles a day in them and have been wearing them everyday as you do. i've also fallen skateboarding on them a good amount, in addition to drunken adventures and whatnot.

dunno though, keep wearin' em!

lol, this should explain things

wallet.jpg

the money clip on the inside gives that central rectangle shape and you can kinda make out the '3' from the Y-3 on the pocket if you try hard enough. I think i've put my wallet backwards a bunch that the Y-3 fade isn't as distinctive.
