thanks guys...i'm flooding this thread a little bit ...but... does the hair make things mis-proportioned or is it just me? theres something not quite right about the photo but cant really work it out...

To me it's not the hair, but what's in her hair (not sure what the material is). If it was moved to the right side of her head a bit more I think it would help. Just my opinion though.

I'd agree - I also think the gauze (maybe?) is a bit far forward, so its more in focus than the face is (unless you meant to do that)

whats bothering me most about the pic are the colors...too much white on top and its being cropped awkwardly

Kodak tmax 100 shot with a olympus stylus epic.

For black and white film I've also heard good things/ want to try Ilford HP5+ and Fuji Neopan.
