EDIT: they're pretty good.. i think they might be the old version! the back patch kinda looks like "ANALCHEMIST" (lol) and there's no "Crafted in Japan" thing

I've worked out Skull stopped making the 5010xx, but don't know why. What's replaced it & is it any good?

They had problems with the original Texas cotton, so then switched to Pima cotton, I believe they still make the 5010, but they also make a new cut in two different denims called sjb666p

I think there might be a pair in the Market? Also my eternal 811 two sizes down fit almost like my skulls just less tight around the knee/calf area, you could also try www.fabfour.jp they have most sizes

Have been keeping an eye on supermarket but never saw a 31. Likewise, I'd have had a pair from Fab four already, but their webshop is fucked. All the sizes are listed but when you add to cart they're all out of stock.

Just a quick question. I've been double cuffing my skulls and I've had them for a year. They show a lot of wear. I want to be able to roll up my jeans for when I ride my bike but with the double cuff, it's impossible to roll up anymore. Would a hem this late in the Jeans life look a little stupid?

Not at all. Get them chainstitch hemmed - you may be conscious of the newness of the hem at first but with some wear and washes they'll look absolutely fine. I've just had my Eternals hemmed this week after plenty of wear and a few washes and I'm happy with how they look already.

Thank you for your inquiry. The SJB666P is a slightly slimmer fit overall compared with the S5010XX. The color of the denim for both is very similar,each have a deep dark color which yields similar fading properties for both,but the new SJB666P denim has a softer texture due to the long staple Pima cotton in contrast to the slightly rougher Texas cotton.

News for 5010XX and 5000XX:

In a meeting with Take 5's Benny, Hiroshi Yamazaki of Skull mentioned the 5010XX will be in stock in mid-August, and 5000XX will be in stock in early Sep.

the seams look like they're about to burst also how would i reinforce the crotch of this if its so close to a "corner"?

I've used a blanket stitch to fix that but you might want to youtube some different stitches in order to find the right one for you.

i just put my texas skulls side-by-side with my other denimz. can't believe how dark the indigo is in comparison... love it
