peterJ - nice evisu... even tho 95% of SF hates evisu, i still love them...

I don't mind some of the less gaudy Evisus, but with those I really don't think there is much from an aesthetic point of view to those jeans except for showing off that you are wearing Evisus.

Carl, what is bar tack selvage???

--- Original message by super_steve on Apr 11, 2006 05:24 PM

Dude, that is a damn good question, haha.

I have no idea myself. Picked them up off eBay for 35 shipped.

505 fit with a slight taper. Denim seems really nice (nicer then the Edwin Yoshi SX's they're in the process of replacing), but im no expert. They were a great deal so i figured why not.

If anyone has any info about the jeans or the company BarTack please feel free to share.

Witts, I'm loving the Brokeback Mountain vibe. darkanimal, good job, you pulled together a sensuous, agressive, and seductive outfit. MilSpex, the only problem I ever have with your outfits is that you wear your shoes on the tatami mats. Oherwise you never let me down. Haptronic, have you been working out? Your arms are looking buff.

$95 tee's ain't no joke

... what season was the clockwork tee from?

Ok, this is something i never understood...how was this tee 95 dollars?

I distinctly remeber paying 32 or 33 for it plus some tax. Its been pointed out before and I was wondering where everyone got that from? I can't ever imagine paying 95 for a tee, 33 seemed bad enough.

Clock Work tee was 3 summers ago, so 2003. And yes, it is a medium.

i'm assuming you're also an aussie perty?

would love to see a close up/better photo of those josh goot shorts!

--- Original message by jpgm on Apr 11, 2006 05:26 AM

jpgm, i'm a sydneysider born and bred.

made a mistake on those shorts - they're actually polo(!) shorts, but i mistook them for the goots because i've been wearing them so much!

these are the polos (black, cotton drill):

and these are the goots (navy, cotton jersey):

goot4xr.jpg

mine fit a bit looser than on the model - pretty similar to the polo fit.

as worn by the man himself (different colour obviously):

i was very lucky to get these, as i slept on them when they first came out late last year. thought i'd missed out, as there weren't any left in the warehouse or Sydney stockists, but ended up getting them at 30% off at Incu. Awesome!

I also have some of his earlier stuff, including some lavender icon_smile_blush.gif goot for platform shorts that i may post on here if i'm feeling adventurous...

Slightly OT, but I think Josh Goot is doing some really interesting, progressive stuff and gives me (some) hope for the next generation of Aussie fashion (if that's not a contradiction in terms)...

perty: Wow those Goot shorts are really cool. How likely would it be for someone far, far away from Australia to be able to find a pair? Or possibly something terribly similar.

--- Original message by ruach on Apr 11, 2006 10:39 PM

yeh, i think they're ace.

i know that browns are stocking some of his stuff, but the prices are highway robbery!

http://www.brownsfashion.com/menfashion156.html

they don't have the shorts atm, but they do have the pants from that season - you could try asking them.

don't know about similar shorts out there. i'd offer to source you a pair, but as i said, even the warehouse is all out of them...

Quote: canadian tuxedo? all you need are the denim dunks

I believe the phrase you are looking for is more commonly referred to as a "Texan tuxedo". However, not to nit-pick but it also usually refers to a denim jacket w/ jeans as opposed to shirt. Regardless I suppose it does look fairly similar.

When I think Canadian I imagine more of a plaid lumberjack shirt with jeans, perhaps a toque as well and the requisite Sorel-style boots. Handle bar moustache and 6 pack of Labatt's optional.

doesn't matter what you think, the term canadian tuxedo is denim on denim, also referred to as a syracuse suit.

and to the dude who's making fun of the guy for wearing a 'listen to ghostface' shirt even though he may not've been old enough to run through shaolin in '92, don't be retarded.
