These Triple R's are a nice old repro..

fullsizeoutput_23d1

Colour is a bit off due to the awful January lighting

fullsizeoutput_23d0

Coleslaw mentions these RRR's earlier in the thread

fullsizeoutput_23cf

Only 250 pairs were made back in 1998 so it's surprising that i managed to land a pair in one wash...and lightly worn condition.

From the limited information ive gathered.. in 1998 Mr. Kiyofumi Yuta who owned a garment factory in Okayama (years later he went on to make Ark Jeans.. shown below)

fullsizeoutput_23d4

...worked with 'Real Jeans' 'Rare Rare Club' & 'Ray Design Unit' to repro the 'Triple R' jeans, hence RRR

I sized dowm 1 on these to a 31" and kept my fingers crossed

...which worked out quite well and good job too because beggers can't be choosy

Here are some examples of the worn denim

Taken from a World Mook book I have from 2005.

Gardener 1954 (Uekis) designed by Ichiro Ueki in 2005 I think.

Company could be called ‘System of Emporium’ (literal translation).

Perhaps someone with a knowledge of Japanese or a better grasp of a translation app could do a more thorough job than me!

Confirming @Maynard Friedman ‘s post that these are made by a company called System of Emporium Corporation. Here’s a close-up of the pocket flasher

Right i'm back :) let's get our little grey cells in gear

They're designed my a Mr. Ichiro Ueki hence the tab (whoops! maynard beat me to it)

They also make a 1937 and a 1942, i sent Flash photo's some time ago but they've disappeared

I keep seeing reference to first generation Gardeners and revival, there is also a seller on macari who claims his pair are made by Warehouse and the selvedge looks like WH selvadge

The page I posted above mentions something about a revival - that may be the 2005 part. My translate app kept changing the text though and I didn’t have the time or patience to continue with it.

There’s nothing of real consequence in the text - started out in 97 then took a break and did some collaboration with Take5 then back to this label in 2005 (more or less)

Company records show the business status was made ‘dead/abandoned’ in the first quarter of 2008

I have had these jeans in my mind since you first posted them... too bad these old repros are never in a size 34, much less 36...!

Happy to see some news about Gardner as well, I think those jeans have my favorite red tab ever....

Recently stumbled upon these: Good Old Co..
They have a 1943XX jeans.

And a 1942XX denim jacket.

Just saw these now. I cannot help but they look somehow "cheap" (despite the price of course :D ) And the fly looks pretty short and crowded with the buttons

Would be good to see them irl. With all these vintage sewing machines the guys probably know a lot. Their denim is a bit on the lower weight side with 12.5oz compared to the other offers. But it might be historically correct.
But who knows, perhaps they don't want to offer a full on repro but more something with a temporary twist.

The rise for the W34 is not really low with 31cm raw. So the crowded fly could be because it's a smaller size pair.

It would be interesting to have some pics of worn in pairs.

I think it might also have to do with the fact that they're showing photos of a size 30.
I checked their IG and most of the rises / fly spacing appear to be more in line with what you'd expect.
