Evo pics finally. Sorry I have been slack with these. I posted this up in the evo thread as well.

As I said there, I have been rotating these with a pair of black cheap mondays, so they haven't really been worn that hard. One soak at three months, two washes since then.

They're still very dark, although some mid blue is starting to peek through.

The photos were taken outside with my Canon Ixus. The contrast has been adjusted in iPhoto to give truest representation of colour possible. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the complements yo.

a couple of people have said something to the effect of 'I can't believe you don't wear these all the time'.

the cut just isn't ideal for me - they're tight in the thighs, and not as slim in the lower leg as I'd like (hence my bustin out the cheap mondays) - I'm looking at getting those SE05BSP flat-heads when they come out - hopefully they'll be closer to what I'm looking for.

Hey guys,

I'm lookin' at these Momotaro GTWP0603S jeans (14.7 oz, low rise, slight bootcut)...

http://www.japanblue.co.jp/denimhouse/item/102.html

The sizing looks completely odd. A size 28 is measured at 30.3 inches according to the site, but if you look through Yahoo auctions and Rakuten, everyone says it's either true to size or SMALLER! Any ideas? They're all sold as one-wash, so there shouldn't be that much shrinking...

Here's a Yahoo auction, saying a 36 measures as an 89 cm waist (which is 35.0 inches), but the other measurements like hem, thigh, etc are actually listed near or larger than what's officially listed on the Japan Blue site.

It is pink, but it doesn't really stay pink --- it soon darkens as the indigo runs across it.

The Vintage 901 model shown above is the looser 55 type cut. The Vintage '201' model is the slim tapered version (slimmer than 66). There is a '701' model also, but I'm not sure what it is.

Anyway, they are class jeans. I sized down 1 and am happy with the fit.

has no one gotten these tapered denims from BIG yet? I'm kinda thinking I might get a sort of classic fit at some point, and I like the idea of a really dark pair that will stay dark for a long time.

I've wanted to get a pair for awhile but I have the FC Contest jeans coming so i'm going to hold off for awhile.

momotaro seems to be a very high-quality brand, but they are the one label that is sufu-approved that no one has really beaten in yet. maybe cause of the inseam color, plus they fade really slow, like 811s. rampuya makes some of the finest denim on earth, so i know what they use for their house brand must be special. i've been waiting to see some good evo pics of these for some time now.

I've been wanting to post these for a long time but have been too busy. here are some pics 2 1/2 years after wearing and 4 cold washes, 9 months for the womens model with one cold wash, and a one wash pair with no home washes yet. Only worn those ones a few times. All washes with no detergent. gentle cycle hang dry. I've never gotten so much attention from a pair of jeans before. when my girlfriend and I wear our momo's together we get stopped all the time.
