I designed that new Boncoura fit for those who really want a full high-rise and wide leg fit.  I think the production run came out quite well!

I do wish those detroit jeans had a dior 19cm style inseam length cuz that top block is incredible for tall guys.

FINE CREEK HAMPTON HORSEHIDE TYPE III JACKET 

Black Shinki horsehide Type III jackets from Fine Creek Leathers are finally here. 

This is Fine Creek’s take on the classic Type III jacket made of a true black Shinki horsehide. This comes in as a classic fit with just a hair of length added to the body. Fine Creek makes some of the most beautiful horsehide jackets we've seen. Using a vegetable tanned Japanese horsehide, which ages in a fairly fast manner, they cut and sew these jackets in their own studio in Tokyo. The quality of stitching is as good as it gets for a leather jacket, and we've not seen many jackets age as well as these do. Depending on the panel they'll use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character.

STRIKE GOLD WINTER FLANNELS, CHORE COATS, & LOOPWHEELED T-SHIRTS 

Super soft alpaca and wool blend flannels from Strike Gold have landed. These are made with a low tension weave then brushed on the inside and outside and are made exclusively for Self Edge without chin straps.

We also have Strike Gold's first chore coat. These are made of a 15oz Strike Gold original selvedge indigo denim with a slub cotton yarn warp and medium staple weft. Some impressive sewing details and hardware throughout this piece.

Loopwheeled t-shirts are also back and now available in more colors. These are some of the nicest loopwheeled tees coming out of Japan, available at all shops in five colors.

MEGA IRON HEART WINTER DELIVERY 

We've just received the largest Iron Heart delivery of the year.  

We have Ultra-Heavy flannel shirts in all new patterns and colors including a wild "chalk stripe" which looks like a denim Wabash from a few feet away.  

Iron Heart have done a new production run of their amazing N-1 Deck jackets, now in brown and black with an updated black alpaca lining.  

We also have the 634 straight leg and 633 straight tapered back in every type of indigo, overdyed, and black denim in every weight including their flagship 21oz.

Lastly we have whipcord cargo pants and 21oz Superblack denim waist bags.  Everything is now at all stores.

Unfortunately, yesterday, I was involved in a hit and run on my motorcycle. They caught the person later on. I'm in okay (ish) nick considering, but do you reckon these SEXI-26-ST could be repaired, or are they too far gone? I have the SEXI26-47 that I turned into shorts, so I have basically two legs' worth of the same denim.

Sorry to hear about the accident! Glad to hear you're (mostly) ok.  

Those can definitely be repaired but with a hole that big it'll be quite noticeable of a repair job.   Get them freshly washed and bring them into one of the shops!

POTEN WINTER COLLECTION OF JAPANESE BASEBALL CAPS 

Poten’s new winter collection is here. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This season we see Poten doing two fitted caps in a 100% work canvas and one adjustable cap in indigo denim and cowhide. These hats are crazy nice, nicer than any other straight ahead baseball cap we've ever seen. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Every cap style has a super soft and supple inner leather headband which has been lightly treated so it’s not destroyed by sweat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The caps have zero exterior branding except for the stitches which you can see from the top of the crown from the interior branding tags being sewn into the center of the crown. The cap has a medium height crown and the brim has a medium length to it with 19 concentric stitches which feel and look pretty cool in person. If you're into baseball caps, you'll love what Poten is doing.

SEUVAS COFFEE-DYED CAPSULE COLLECTION 

Seuvas brings us a new coffee dyed capsule collection taking three garments and presenting them in a subtle shade of “coffee” by garment dying them in spent coffee grounds from local cafes in their region of Japan. We have a beautiful 23oz herringbone canvas trucker jacket and two different medium weight canvas shirts, all three naturally dyed in a subtle "coffee" color and finished with a special edition version of the Seuvas porcelain button, this one with little tiny coffee beans hand painted onto the button.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Seuvas is a brand dedicated to the art of producing canvas of all weights. They own their own canvas looms and factory which produces their canvas exactly to their specifications for the right look and texture. They even cut and sew all the garments in their own workshop in Kurashiki, Japan using vintage sewing machines so that the canvas reacts with just the right amount of puckering at the seams. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The only exterior branding on their garments is a single hand-made porcelain button made from clay ore (Amakusa pottery stone) mined in Amakusa City, Kimamoto prefecture, Japan. Amakusa pottery stone is a historic pottery stone that is a raw material which has been used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century. These porcelain buttons are designed by Seuvas and made in the traditional way in Amakusa.

MASAHIRO MARUYAMA WINTER COLLECTION OF EYEWEAR 

This week we have four eyewear releases from Masahiro Maruyama’s new collection. All four are made of Japanese titanium and acetate and come with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses with each frame's lens color matching the frame to the designer's specifications. As always, these lenses can be swapped out for prescription lenses by any optician. 

All four of these frames are quite unique and the attention to detail in both design and material finish is top notch, truly he's pushing the boundaries of eyewear design and manufacturing.

DEVOA X INCARNATION PIECE-DYED HORSEHIDE BOOTS 

Devoa x Incarnation Piece-Dyed Horsehide Boots, they’re here. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

These boots are a collaboration between INCARNATION of Italy and DEVOA of Japan. Devoa provided the design and wooden lasts while INCARNATION was in charge of the shoemaking, dyeing, treatment, and oiling process. After the boot is constructed it’s object-dyed black then “cured” in a special oil which gives the horsehide a deep sheen. With repeated wear over time the leather surface will acquire a glossy shine and the wearer’s creases will become visible on the surface. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

These boots are made using a McKay welt construction method and finished with a Vibram Morflex sole. Now at all stores.

SAMURAI INDIGO WINTER FLANNELS & OTOKOGI DENIM JEANS 

The new NATURAL BORN KILLERS and REPHLEX Samurai winter shirts pull out all the stops.

The NBK flannel is a heavy and soft flannel that's been indigo dyed with a sulfur top for an indigo/black look complete with engraved indigo dyed buttons with absolutely perfect construction; they've nailed every element of this thing. This flannel will fade and age as a pair of jeans would over time with regular wear and washing. 

Samurai’s REPHLEX natural indigo-dyed dobby work shirt is made of a Japanese indigo/black spotted dobby fabric. Aiming for a color tone that resembles layering black dye over indigo fabric, Samurai used thread dyed with a combination of natural and synthetic indigo dyes, plus black thread, and then adjusted the number of thread colors that appear on the surface through weaving to achieve the desired color tones. Compared to both synthetic and natural indigo-dyed threads, black threads are pigment dyed so they don’t fade easily, as the fabric fades the dotted pattern will become more prominent.

We also have the 15oz Otogoki indigo denim in both a classic straight leg and slim tapered fit, available at all stores along with these new shirts.

SUGAR CANE NEP DENIM COLLECTION & MORE 

Nep denim jeans and jackets from Sugar Cane have landed. Made of a Sugar Cane original 13.7oz. indigo neppy denim featuring a warp yarn of rope-dyed indigo and a weft yarn of grey with colored nep. The jeans feature double knees only at the knee area and have some interesting tool pockets attached to both legs. The jacket features pre-war changeable buttons, a 3-in-1 pocket on the left chest, and adjustable cuffs.

Sugar Cane’s Okinawa and Hawaii jeans are finally back in stock. The mill producing this denim had some issues running the fabric last year so no retailer had this model in stock for well over a year. They’re finally back, but Sugar Cane has stated going forward they will not be available year round and will only be produced once a year.

We also have a full restock of Whitesville t-shirts, leather belts, and 1955, 1947, 1966, and 2021 jeans.
