In all honesty, the honeymoon didn't last 

I maintain that it's a great watch, perfect proportions for a diver, but in the end the faux vintage styling (rivets, 5 piece bracelet) got to me much in the same way that pre-distressed jeans just feel "off" to me. Basically a design trying to be something it's not, which is a shame because it's really a great watch. Under most circumstances I'd keep it, but I'm also trying to downsize and am looking for a solid two watch rotation of timeless "keepers" between my Sub and what I've decided on, a 34mm Oyster Perpetual. I also keep a handful of Seiko divers because why not at those older price points (no point in selling), and will likely pick up one of the new Willards for fun in the future, a space that the 58 Blue would've kept otherwise if I didn't need the $ to fund the 34OP. 

As for the SPB149, also a fun watch and I still think there's good value in that $1000-1500 USD price point for these latest releases, but with the LE creeping up over $1500, I'll be honest and say go for the Oris instead unless you don't mind the non-LE colorways which can be had at decent pricing! I don't personally prefer that skin diver case shape as a modern reinterpretation (or at least if over 40mm), but just my opinion!

I recently picked up a '69 Timex Sprite from eBay. It's markedly smaller than anything I own in my budget friendly collection (Casio F-91W and Seiko SNK809) at a whopping ~32mm with the crown.

Indeed, the Professional is the go to color and I'll no doubt like to try one down the line, but for me it's either Searambler or Sharkhunter personally that gets things going, and funnily enough a bit more off the beaten path since everyone else usually goes Professional. To top it off, Cousteau's Calypso Crew also wore Sharkhunter's, so it's always been my geeky preference

the watch I wear like 90% of the time. I have a G-shock for work and a Panerai that spends most of it’s life in the closet. I should have gotten an automatic...

I’m on the hunt for a field watch but there are so many out there. Can’t decide on one atm.

Nice Club! Just picked up a perlon strap for mine and it is good for the summer and also kinda covers up the huge gap caused by the long lugs like your tan leather strap does

Seiko SCXP155. Been wearing this daily since a year or so ago. Nothing fancy but I like how simple and easy to wear it is. And very comfortable on my tiny wrists. Contemplating a canvas or rough out strap but with 18mm lug width options seem to be pretty limited..

For sure, with a six inch wrist, smaller will always wear better for me. That said, I got tired of the faux vintage styling REAL fast so the Pelagos is a huge refresher for me. In the same way we don't wear pre-distressed jeans around these parts, the BB58 felt contrived unfortunately
