Hey guys I am sorry that I have not updated anything but my boots did not get any wear at all during the summer

here are some pictures, I am a newbie when it comes to boots but so far I am pretty happy with my ones.

They are a sample sale from Wrangler of a model never introduced in Sweden not the most impressive brand in the thread but still

  • 2 weeks later...

I got my pair repaired, and the heels replaced. They came out great, excited to get these back on my feet:

Not my contest pair, but I took my Alden's in to have the heels replaced, and was surprised to find they used Cat's Paw heels.

It was nice to find a local shop that does everything in house, and can do complete resoles as well.

enjoy :)

Anyone knows how the quality is on these? They look amazing imo.

But on styleforum I saw some comments about the leather used on some

of their products to be corrected grain. Anyone that has some experience with sagara?

Also, I can't seem to find this particular model. Hope someone has more experience to share and sorry for all the questions.

The quality is absolutely top notch, and the comments you're referring to are a couple of years old I think and based on boots which were clearly advertised as being made with corrected grain leather.

These days Sagara use much higher end leathers from the US, Japan and other countries in the Middle East and Europe, as well as imported hard ware and Cats Paw heels. Each pair of Sagara boots comes with a 1 year workmanship guarantee and is crafted entirely by hand, zero automated process's.

The model above is called the Valiant, it's relatively new but can be bought by emailing Bagus at Sagara and discussing your spec requirement, failing this I am happy to assist you as we are a registered Sagara stockist.

Sorry, didn't really payed attention to the date of the topic. It was from 2012 and there was stated that not all their leather was made with corrected grain, but the calfskin ones someone bought used corrected grain. But the craftmanship of the shoes looks very good, I just wasn't sure on the leather used.

The ones above look far superior quality wise, but just wanted to make sure of the quality before I'm thinking about copping a pair.

Not really sure what specs I should go with and if I'm going to pull the trigger on them anytime soon but I'm glad with the info. Thanks :)

Your bountyhunters look great too, but I'm afraid those will be out of my price range

That are definitely in need of a new heel and that Red Dog leather aged great.

Put the boots through their paces today, and they more than rose to the occasion - my feet stayed warm and dry all day long.

Pretty big blizzard last night:

Led to this:

And at the end of the day, this:

The waxed leather didn't absorb much moisture, but they're currently drying out near a roaring wood fire. Cheers, and happy holidays champs!
