That’s why i asked, but that is not an option in the instructions so i took that as just wait. I am happy to do either but its up to the community if I post a pic of the boot being made.

I think that the idea was for everyone to do the same thing, i.e if you have boots then post pics, if you don't then write "Awaiting Boots". I have nothing against Todd posting his pic, it just introduces a third option.

 

Do what you feel man, this is a boots contest, not North Korea.

Also does anyone know of a good place to order leather care. eg oil, brush & trees?

William Lennon "Tug Of War"

reverse tanned waxed kip butt leather

triple leather soles

 

 

Slightly adapted version of 268D shepherds boot with a couple of modifications for tug of war purposes. The facings (where the laces fasten) are wider so they can be pulled tighter, and the heel stiffeners are double reinforced for extra strength. The uppers are made from reverse tanned waxed kip butt leather and the soles are triple thickness leather.  The boot shaft is made from a single piece leather [ie, no back seam].
