If your Nudie size is 28 in raws Id say you need a 27 personally. I wear 30 in Slim Jim raws, and 29s in New Standards are no looser. Probably depends on the Nudie cut and what type of dry it is though. I think a good rule of thumb is -3 from your natural waist.

I got my New Cures in the mail today. Ended up going with a size 26 (My Dior MIJ 19cm Raw size is 28 just for reference) and I think I got the right size. Can't button up the top button but I managed to get the other two buttons done with a little effort. Thanks to those of you who helped me figure out what size to go with.

And here are a few fit pics... they don't look tight in the pics but I have to peel them off my body right now so they're pretty snug:

the New Standard was designed so you can wear it in a number of different ways, either slim, normal, or baggy. you could own 3 pairs of the same jeans and they would all look different

You can even check on the APC website, I think you have to size up to get them baggy.

but i would look at nudie's average joe or regular alf if you want something a little baggier like the rescues

Thanks... and I'm about 5'4" or 5'5". Pretty short. The inseams on my NCs only measured about 32.5", which was shorter than I was expecting. But since I'm so short, it works out well ha.

They're some wrinkled patent leather sneakers I picked up from Zara for like $60. Really sweet shoes... but I fear they won't have a very long life span since the sole is only glued on and not stitched..

Is this normal? Does most ppl own a pair of NS and NC in the same size? Or do they size up in the NC? any info appreciated!
