i know it's a bit excessive/obsessive, but personally, i don't intend to keep all of mine down the road. unlike some, i dint get them for the sake of collecting.

you're right about not being able to devote enough time to break them in properly, tho. just need to experience them 1st hand, so i can decide which to keep. life is short and i only got a pair of legs, after all

A couple pair of modern Levis 505s.

'55s are too big, '37s a little tight. '44 have blood from an upland bird on their ass (blood leaked through the shooting vest's pouch) so the '44s are currently my "I'm going to get dirty" jeans. Full Counts are daily wear. Warehouse and Canes are for when the FCs need a break and when the FC/BiG contest is over. Don't know when I'll wear the Oni's... probably next summer. 505s are for cold windy days in the winter when I don't need a wide, cuffed leg letting the cold up my pants.
