How many pairs of jeans do you own?

Recommended Posts

you guys with these 10+ collections are absurd. i mean, seriously - how many of these are you really going to get a chance to break in and develop a shred of patina?

meh. anyway, i've got 3:

samurai 0500

sc "2009" cut

sexfh05's (which i got for free :) )

these will keep me held over for a very, very long time. should the need for another pair come up it'll either be a SC '66 or something from LVC ('37? 66 505?)

previous:

various jeans that were sold off bc of sizing issues and a pair of 2 yr old APC NS i gave to my lil bro to wear bc after wash they were too small.

current rotation:

Nudie Average Joes DH

Rag and Bone RB11

Uniqlo T-001 Gray slim straight

future:

APC NS

considering wearing in PRPS one wash i got a good deal on, but they are the same cut basically as the rb11s and prob wont get much wear...

hmm.

i know it's a bit excessive/obsessive, but personally, i don't intend to keep all of mine down the road. unlike some, i dint get them for the sake of collecting.

you're right about not being able to devote enough time to break them in properly, tho. just need to experience them 1st hand, so i can decide which to keep. life is short and i only got a pair of legs, after all :)

One pair per year should get some good fades in. 10 pairs, 10 years, ain't that absurd really. Can't hurt to collect some neither.

'37, '44, '55 LVC 501s

Full Count 0105C

Oni Red

Warehouse #800

Sugar Cane 1947

A couple pair of modern Levis 505s.

'55s are too big, '37s a little tight. '44 have blood from an upland bird on their ass (blood leaked through the shooting vest's pouch) so the '44s are currently my "I'm going to get dirty" jeans. Full Counts are daily wear. Warehouse and Canes are for when the FCs need a break and when the FC/BiG contest is over. Don't know when I'll wear the Oni's... probably next summer. 505s are for cold windy days in the winter when I don't need a wide, cuffed leg letting the cold up my pants.

apc ns destroyed

kmw 1980s yayy but tight

sugarcane okinawas (perfect)

Interesting to note that I've gone from über-tight to slim to straight fit over the last two years on superfuture, go figure.

APC NS (worn for a while now, showing some nice wear, being repaired)

N&F Weird Guy Deep Indigo (my current go-to pair)

Thai fake 501's (more so for novelty, although the fit isn't half bad and they fade like crazy)

STF 501's (cheap shit, entered that contest and then bailed out because I couldn't stand the fit on me)
