more than glad to still be able to be in on this. the forum has been half dead for a while now, but this thread never fails to deliver! we are roy knights keeping the thread alive! rah!

Didn't say anything before Ranon, but if it's any consolation, my boss is in the process of stopping us wearing jeans to work (we get new regulation heavy blue twill trousers every 2 years) so soon I will be an evening/weekend wearer too.

...doesn't matter how little or often, as long as you wear them ! :)

Good try, almostnasty, but this is not a contest you want to start. If I started posting photos of the locales I have had the distinct pleasure of defecating in for the past 1.5 years, you might be stopped up for a month.

Beautiful looking trip otherwise, though!

^ ROFLMAO! I can imagine Dkatz! I bummed around the world for nearly a year before uni, and saw some, er, interesting "sanitary" facilities... My personal favourite, from Morocco...

And back here in the great white north... Thunderboxes! Nothing like having a view while you dump! :D

So when we won that battle of the bands, part of the deal to get the full $3500 was to play an opening slot for Third Eye Blind. I couldn't care less about Third Eye Blind, but it was still fun. I don't think we've played for a crowd that big, it was over 2,000 I reckon. Sound was real crappy, couldn't believe it.

a photographer there got some good shots of me in my RxCs so here those are...

aw, damn, i repped u earlier which means I can't rep you for standing in your Roy x Cone with a Gretsch 6120 in front of 2,000 people!

Congrats, looks cool!

haha, thanks Paul. I hadn't played the 6120 in a while with the band. It was great and I think I'm gonna do it more often. the epiphone casino had been my dedicated lonnie walker guitar for a long time.

I too must spread erk!

I don't ever really do anything as exciting as some of y'all, but I do seem to have pretty good luck at thrift stores. Anyhow I stopped by the goodwill with some payday cash money and scored this rad metal detector. Here are some pictures of me and the Roys dicking around with it in the yard.

My wife was the only precious object I found in the yard.

I am kind of a sucker for random typography, saw it across the store and bolted over. if it actually works it's a pretty decent investment I suppose. MF'er takes more batteries than a ghetto blaster (16 AA), my nephew will have fun w/ it this summer though I hope. There's all kinds of cool stuff buried out in cow pastures. Some buddies of mine found tons of old horse shoes, civil war buckles, and random coins. Should be fun, and even if it doesn't work it was too cool to leave behind.

Euston station, 9pm. ScotRail Sleeper train (the guy on the far right got on without a Reservation. Just back from Afghanistan. The woman he's chatting to, Sheena, was an absolute darling).

Thetrain.jpg

Accommodation for the night. Lady t and the nipper had their own adjoining cabins.

A great, surreal night's sleep, dreams about strange places. Six hundred miles later... it's dawn.

We're on the way to Aberdeen, about 600 miles North of London, on the East Coast, facing the North sea. Check out the little abandoned stone cottages etc.

Coming into the city...

Looking for a coffee place before our hotel room is ready. Check out the little Victorain street leading down to the harbour:

Now for a shower...

Almostnice - I think you might have some knee blowout/repair before this dance is over.

Scotland, i'm jealous! I think the notion of a 'bucket list' is pretty stupid, but if I were to have one It'd certainly include visiting Scotland. Beautiful pictures of the countryside Paul.

so today was the first time in two weeks i went back to work at my weekend job. last week was spent mourning the passing of my gramps and the week before last was spent in and out of hospital a lot.

so today when i got to work, i found to my dismay that the lock to the shutter was changed without my knowledge and because of this i didnt have the new keys so there was a mad rush and a lot of scurrying back and forth so that i could get the new keys for the shop so i could open up for business. had to go somewhere else to grab a spare set of keys from my colleague..

but amid the rush of madness of course i could find time to pick some yoghurt up. havent had these in a really long time and its my favourite comination. natural mixed with peach flavoured yoghurt. mixed nuts and cranberries as toppings. GOOD!

one of the many luxury brand stores situated in the mall that i had to go to. sitting in the heart of the shopping district, at least there was good old air conditioning which was reprive from the sweltering heat outside.

R1003398.jpg

finally after all that rush i managed to open the store for business. busy day today with a whole load of transactions which was good for the company. headed out across the road for a quick purchase of some fancy paper for a project.

R1003399.jpg

after work ended at 9pm, i went over to another store to check out a friend's collection launch and pick some stuff up for my girl as well. not my cup of tea but nina nikicio is a really nice person. good stuff if you're into things like that. a lot of black drapey ladies clothing.

R1003411.jpg

where the launch was held. the girl used to work there when she was back during the last trip. sorry for the bad framing on my end. the signs were designed by local customiser SBTG known for his work on nike trainers.

R1003410.jpg

blackmarket no.2 is a pretty rad store. i love great spaces with great design. can never go wrong with great store design.

R1003409.jpg

they've also got some consignment goods on sale as well. the bicycle is amazing. wished i had the money for it. look at how it glimmers in the light.

R1003413.jpg

ending the night now, exhausted from not being used to working a 7 day week after 2 weeks of absence. i leave you guys with a fit pic. cheers.

I had a great time. There was too much to see and buy. There were over 10 fields and hundreds of dealers. Picked up a couple of hat boxes, wooden crates, a wrench, a pulley and a magazine rack. Next time, I'll probably go during the week. I'm pretty sure most of the good stuff was long gone by Saturday. For some reason, there were a ton of stoneware jugs. It seems everyone was selling these jugs and prices varied from $18-$125. I guess they are very popular. Looking forward to Rose Bowl next month.
