Oh crap, the link expired already? Mail Big File used to be good for three days.

Here it is again.

If anyone has the capacity to upload it to a blog or website for downloads please do.

CONE X ROY DIRTY THIRTY

It's on the same hosting site that a bunch of porn is uploaded on and even all of the smut fiends around the world can't seem to exhaust the bandwidth, so you denim perverts should be fine.

The pdf reduced the picture quality slightly, so here are a couple of my favorite pages in a higher resolution:

The original of the flasher graphic, Roy saw an option for "red tones" on the printer at the copy store and went with that for the flasher, which turned out really nice, but I like this version.

The background for this and the pdf cover also came from the copy of Arizona Highways (March, 1958, .40 cents) that Roy lent me. He wanted the article on pima cotton to fit into this somehow.

This was my favorite entry, graphically and fit-wise. Lits, you look like you fell out of the womb into these jeans.

Today I went to this butcher:

http://www.thegingerpig.co.uk/

I have been going here for years and I cannot impress on you how damn good it is. They breed longhorn beef on their own farm and hang the cuts for around 28 days, but you can ask them to hang for as long as you want. Today while I was buying my beef, some guy came in to pick up some 75 day dry aged beef that was literally covered in green mould. Recently the butcher have had interest since they supply this restaurant: http://www.thehawksmoor.co.uk/, often revered as the best steak in London. Paul probably knows both these places.

Anyway, I am partial to many different cuts of steak including rib-eye, T-bone, onglet, skirt or hangar, but the real glamour cut is the chateaubriand. The fat end of the fillet at the ass of the cow. This is what I bought:

I don't normally buy pieces of meat as expensive as this ($50) but today I did.

Searing:

Is that too rare?

Cheap but surprisingly decent bottle to go with it

Oh yeah, this is a denim forum....

I saw sansome's jeans today and they looked great. The desert dust had set in and they looked brownish green. I hope it stains the jeans.

fre$co- your photos made me (1) very hungry, and (2) very dissatisfied with my meager dinner.

A Saturday Retrospective in Hipstamatic

Can't start the weekend without a visit to the local bakery

imagecyq.jpg

So many delicious choices!

imagepvs.jpg

Settled on a piece of sausage quiche (warming in the bread oven), an apple puff turnover, and a mug of the best coffee in town.

imagexir.jpg

In case anyone doubted it, love actually is in the air.

imagecjtt.jpg

Played a little Pass the Pigs while eating. My daughter beat me by a good 20 points.

imageli.jpg

Back home to stitch something up and send it off.

imagecio.jpg

Time to suit up for work!

imagetb.jpg

Put a second coat of paint on the bedroom.

imageuac.jpg

Ran the pole sander over the living room walls, post priming.

Then, put the first coat on. The color is 'Molasses', but I think 'Peanut Butter' is more accurate.

7pm, time to clean up and crack open a beer.

I had a realtor come by yesterday, and the house goes on the market in mid-March! It's supposedly the best month to try to sell a house.

Damn, next year I'm there with you guys!

Exciting that you're getting ready to sell! What's the motivation?

Went out hard to a new "British pub" in Bunga last night. Pretty damn fun night but I am more haggard this morning than I have been in a loooooong time.

You guys are looking sharp! Four pairs in one photo- I wonder if that will be the record. I'm glad you like the belt, Sansome :)

dkatz- motivation for selling my house? Well, it's a huge old house, too big for me, and I want to move closer to everything else in my life.
