Not the best fit pics here but happy with these. The drape particularly at the back is really good. I've had to Japanese cuff though as too long despite the hemming by FC. I should have asked for more off as hadn't taken the rise in consideration. Maybe a wash will knock a bit off the lenght. Super comfortable. Totally get why these are so popular.3 points

@MJF9 seen that video before thanks to @beautiful_FrEaK but happy to view it again (and again) . Just need 'someone' now to puchase the 1937's and then post their photos here 😁2 points

I don’t use AI for my fades, actually I roll around in my backyard - don’t bother picking up after my dogs, or trash from my home-improvement projects because the fecal matter and debris help speed up the epic fades on my raw Japanese selvedge denim. Then when I’m ready for a wash I head to the aquatic park in Berkeley for a dip. Then 2,000 deep lunges to dry them off These fades were hard earned … 200 hashtags2 points

Where it's really going to get weird is people taking photos of their actual jeans and then telling "AI" to enhance the fade. I could see this breaking fade competitions like Indigo Invitational (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.) The "top fades" already look pretty fake, so it could cause some real chaos if it's hard/impossible to tell if it's "AI" enhanced or not.1 point

@Lorcan that's a very fair price considering the blanket lining and all And the official homepage: http://www.ezcompany.jp/jettrink.html1 point

I was looking at this Jett Rink storm rider repro recently but didn’t know anything about them. Looks good https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auction/yahoo/input/r1141693364/1 point

@Ciabatta Shhh don’t jinx it: we’re only a third of the way done, and my attention span’s already slipping big time As of now, I think my money’s on Aho—based on past competitions, though, I’m sure there’s also at least a couple folks laying low not posting many updates that’ll show up at the finish line with some top notch wear & tear1 point

Meanwhile, patched over the opening to the left front pocket earlier this week with fabric from the cut off hem of one of my Tender Co. shirts, dyed w/ Prussian blue. I’ve stitched over a few seams, previously, but this is the first real repair—almost always is, for me. I really love how the pocket bag denim is fading; it’s a beautiful rich blue. Plus: photos before the upcoming wash, I think no. 5 or 6?1 point

Selvedge cloth at the rivet on the inside of the chest pocket. I've only seen this on Freewheelers' 506 and 507. Is this FWs taking artistic licence with this little detail or are they the only ones to have bothered to replicate? The original Levi's jackets have the size tag above the leather patch and I have also only seen that on FW's jackets.1 point

I haven't handled any other Full Count denim or 60's repros in person, but they're definitely lighter than the TCB 50's fabric if that helps. Also - it could just be the lighting/camera. Took this one in a bit more sunlight. Wore these throughout the winter and they were great! Never felt super cold unless it was subzero temps, haha. Not much in the way of honeycombs...but yes, whiskers are coming through nicely.1 point

@PrettyBoyTony Here are some janky progress pics on my 0105 super smooth. It was tough to get the true color to come through on the full length pictures - these close up shots did a better job of capturing that. About 6-7 months in with ~5 washes. I'll take some better ones down the line when I get some more wear in. Plenty of texture even with the lighter weight, enjoying them a lot so far.1 point

@Double 0 Soul Can't remember when we were having the conversation about clothes racks, particularly jeans storage? Think it was just after @beautiful_FrEaK did a show and tell on his wooden jeans rack some time back. You (Neal) made a quip about my homemade effort being a couple of runner bean canes and some string 🤣 Anyhow, l could go on about how l actually would do a half decent job if l so wished to make one (l have some skills) but l am in fact quite a bit of a lazy bastard, so instead here is my effort for now. It took no time at all to make: Simply go to any UK store on its last day of business - l went to Wilkos and bought a clothes rail for 17 quid ( l got 2, one also for Mrs_Heech) and then over to M & Co for some free hangers (well they would have ended up in landfill knowing how contractors work). Made some adjustments to the rail to make it more bespoke by cutting the length of the legs. Might add a couple of jackets 🤔 but otherwise Job done 😁.1 point

Hard to imagine that we still have 12 months left! Here's some post wash photos of my pair, probably going to start rotating other pairs in so these don't get too washed out before the end of the contest.1 point
