It looks like the weather is going to turn to shit this weekend so i took today off.. God damn neighbours put this Furby under their tree before they moved back to Holland.. it's been out through the winter yet, 2yrs later and it still speaks, it scares the shit out of me! ..early game of tennis.. my kid has been working on the allotments this week, doing all the jobs the old folks don't want to do.. digging, strimming, removing brambles and such, he starts at 12.30.. one of the neighbours kids used to do it but he's on a gap year in Bali. I rode through Burbage Through Longshaw ..and past White Edge Lodge, you can rent this joint as a holiday let, It was in the TV adaptation of Jane Eyre White Edge Blacka Moor It's a great year for bilberries.. When i was a kid, my folks would take me, my friends and cousins out bilberry picking, we'd all have a bucket or a Wall's Icecream tub.. there would be a gang of kids on th hillside, our hands stained purple for the week.. they'd make bilberry jam, bilberry cheesecake, bilberry wine.. we'd live off them through the autumn, yet cost of living crisis and the bilberries are going to waste.. ? ..stopped for a pint of Absolution at the Norfolk Arms ..and home11 points

I just couldn’t let these 30s contest jeans sit! @theguywhoknewthatguy had these listed in the sale section for a few months and thought someone else would join us, so I waited patiently. No one snapped them up! So I guess I have a 2nd pair of contest jeans-hope I’m not doing anything illegal! Cant imagine wearing them as much as my original pair, but we’ll see. #1925 points

@Le Clown Bleu here you go - these are them, in size 34 They’re pretty big, widest pair I have by a good margin right now, significantly more so than both the pairs of At Last jeans I have. I believe these might be out of stock at Timeworn at the moment, but that may have changed recently, so always worth asking.4 points

Thanks @MJF9! Hopefully will have time to contribute some more now, unless my 1 year old decides otherwise.3 points

My kid and 5 or 6 of his mates walked to Hathersage last night, played some pool, got burgers at the pub then got the last bus home.. while walking through Burbage, he said "Ooh! the bilberries are out' and his mates were like.. what the fuck! .. what the hell are you doing?! don't eat random berries! I asked him if they ate some after they'd seen you do it.. "no they wouldn't touch them" Kids today eh?2 points

In my younger years, 5-10, was pretty much left to my own devices with cannock chase as my stomping ground. Bilberries were a staple in my diet as it was easier to gorge on them than trek miles back to eat only to head back after!2 points

Absolutely my favourite denim. I was losing the will with SDA fits. New 100 model and the tweaks to the original fits have restored my faith! Loving my new pair.2 points

I only have that one. It's called Clerk Shirt. Made from Indian Madras fabric. This is a L. Quite a generous fit indeed. I also have two Beams+ madras shirts. They fit similarly, though one is L and the other XL.1 point

Making some space. Too many denim jackets. Cushman Type 2 Lot 21352 size 42 I've soaked this jacket. It might shrink a little bit more with a hot wash, but probably not much. For the bigger sizes T-structure was used or often for the type 2 sizes 42 and 44 side panels. This one has the side panels. 13.5oz selvedge denim. As you can see on the pics it has that relatively irregular structure as it has been woven on vintage shuttle looms. Approximate measurements: shoulder to shoulder: 49 cm (19.3“) pit to pit: 57 cm (22.44“) back length: 61.5cm (24.2“) shoulder to cuff (sleeve): 64.5cm (25.4“) As I've been focussing on my other jackets, this one has only seen a handful of wears. This had cost me around EUR 275. Looking for EUR 195+ shipping. Cushman's founder is seen here wearing the same jacket in the embroidered version. A pic from Barnstormers some more details Fading potential of the jacket and the jeans from the same denim (Lot 22177)1 point

Well, as the Tokyo and Kyoto (I love the fact these cities are anagrams of each other) pairs have different denim, the Kyoto is a lighter shade, the answer is no. It may possibly be the same denim as that used for the Tokyo pairs but I’d assume not (although this is just a gut feeling and I may well be wrong) as I think both the Tokyo and Kyoto models used specifically designed denim and they were only available in the Denime shop of that city.1 point
