I have to add ranonranonarat's APCs that he just posted. These are definitely the best pair of APCs I've ever seen.

at the rate you're going, you'll probably have a pair of grails by the end of the year. or even sooner.

^All personal taste really...Although I should note that pair I posted is more "grail-y" IMO for it's rarity and condition, not the fading.

 

Regarding the less contrast, washed out look, I've always enjoyed letting the character of the fabric speak for itself and feel it best comes through with frequent, natural washing (when needed). Crinkles, graininess, shades of light blue, etc. are all things I prefer over straight contrast, although I'll still give a nod and a hats off to contrasty pairs. To each his own!
