So a few days ago I went to a Red Wing Store outside of SF. Not the greatest selection but it is more of a Functional RW Store as opposed to a boutique shoe store that sells RW's. Picked up a free pair of laces, one of the many perks at the store if you own any pair of RW's.

Even the hounds have wimped out and are wearing jerkins. DO they have no sense of embarrassment? Would Lendo's hounds be subject to such humiliation! No sir! Not unless it was a selvage oiled cotton duck jerkin. Mmmmm.

I am sorry, I had to post another photo of this church. Nicholas Hawmsmoor's Christ Chruch, Spitalfieds, as seen in From Hell etc. Except in From Hell, the atmosphere was a bit cheerier and less wet.

Not many food retailers out today, either. After turning away from the chain-store purveyors, we found something a little more ethically sound: an independent outlet that sold bits of baby. Mmmm. Are they free-range, though? Beat THIS food pic, mooba77!

We took refuge in the (overpriced) Doc Martens shop. Was prepared to be snotty but they turned out to be absolute darlings: took the nipper's shoes and socks and dried them out on their heater. The Nipper is obsessed with these boots. Was anti, they're made in China... and the price is outragoeous, but they might keep out water. Which seems to be optional with kids' boots these days. Any thoughts? You can't get the British Solovair in a size 3, sadly.

Finally... in every grey day, some colour must come...

Fluffer... Really I am a sound engineer- monitors and such for a few shows on the strip. A Japanese show called matsuri, a Motown revue by smokey Robinson called human nature and this drag show by frank Marino (Vegas legend) called Divas.

Went up to Big Bear this weekend

arrived to our cabins at around 9PM

went out to our balcony to check out the view, kicked the snow on the balcony in front of me, and discovered 3 unopened beers

Saturday morning, gave the jeans a rest and went snowboarding

woke up this Sunday morning, put on my jeans, took a small walk and enjoyed the scenery

Now that I've passed on the Stronghold WT jeans, I;ve gotten my Chimalas out of the closet. It;s nice to get back to beating them up. I started out the day making some leather goods.

Then spent a couple hours stripping wallpaper. Luckily, the plaster walls were coarse enough that I didn't need to steam at all.

Finished!

Then I changed into my MFSC jeans for some ice skating at my daughter's birthday party. Fun times, except for taking breaks to watch the men's team lose the gold medal game What a game, though!
