Yesterday was Dark Lord Day 2011, a yearly beer release festival by my local brewery, Three Floyds. Russian imperial stouts, tons of local and guest brews on tap, metal bands and thousands of people sharing beers with each other - it's awesome.

I'm lucky enough to have been born, raised and currently living in Munster, Indiana so I could walk to the brewery and attend a few past events, but there are many people that come from all over the country and world to buy and taste beer. 6000 tickets sold out in 2 minutes this year, and to keep things safe, the number of attendees was halved. Craft beer seems to really be taking off!

I think in this picture there is: 2008 Goose Island (RIP) Bourbon County Stout, 2009 Bells Eccentric Ale (amazing) Dark Horse Imperial Stout, Aventinus Weizenbock, Alley Cat Full Moon, and Boulevard Sixth Glass Quaduprel.

We parked ourselves under a tree and soaked up beers and sun until it was time to go home.

There is an exhibition near my place, featuring Terra Cotta Army of the Qin Dynasty China. Being an avid lover of ancient history, I put up my Samurai, slinged my camera and off I went on a bicycle.

today my Skulls went to B&H superstore to sell my 17-40L, and picked up a 28mm f/1.8. Then took my Eternal's to SENY to get a crotch re-inforcement...and walked out with a pair of Iron Heart 666-S.

Went with the fam. to the White Cloud, Kansas flea market today. It's one of those events where the whole town is overrun with vendors.

This place is an old building that housed an opera/theater until the 1930's. Now it's crap unfortunately.

Apparently this movie was filmed around here. The Missouri river is just across the highway.

Today I've spent way too time in two soul-sucking places:

Central Police Station, recovering my license after paying a 40,000 Shilling (~$17) for making a u-turn in a right-turn pocket that had no signage saying I couldn't. I pointed this out to the cop, who informed me that if it doesn't have a sign saying u-turn are allowed, then that means they aren't. Nevermind the fact that every other goddamn place in this city where you can make a u-turn doesn't have a sign... UGH. I've sworn off bribing, though, so I just have to accept this arbitrary shit.

And Immigration, where I need to return shortly to *hopefully* finally get my researcher visa renewed

This is another one I took, but i didn't find it as appealing..it took multiple tries to get a decent shot because the wind was blowing pretty hard. Weird, it's still making my images small! it's suppose to be 5% larger. >.<
