Cut off about 12 inches of hair to donate to Locks of Love. First hair cut in over 2 years, and the shortest my hair has ever been.

Yes, that was from the front.

The barber was spectacular (especially when he joking remarked "The hell are those damn things in your ears?"). I tried giving him general suggestions, and he would have none of it, simply saying "don't worry you'll like it".

And, there is 2 years worth of work. I hope that it makes some child's life a little bit better.

Finally got my hands on some of the photos they too for the Tattooers for Japan I participated in a week or so ago. Got a little ink on my IH's during the process and my tattooer was rocking 634s's as well. They guys at the shop raised a few thousand dollars for Japan that day doing small Japanese themed flash tattoos they custom made for the event. I got a couple of Japanese WW2 planes to go with the theme of my arm so far and they were made specifically at my request (other people were allowed to get them though). I was the only one who had a tattoo designed for them and I am pretty happy with the result.

Nothing too exciting, but I thought I'd share. Saturday is the Setter's third birthday, but the forecast is for rain and nasty weather. Today is very nice, so I came home early from work to take him for a walk. Figured I'd take the camera along since I haven't taken any photos of him in a while. Can't believe he's already three, and before I know it he'll be ten. Time flies!

Normal winged rats, or pigeons, are fine. These particular ones were pure midnight black, a black so profound so as to seem more an absence of light.

Today my pbjs and I went bike shopping. I already had something in mind so I went to my friend's store and he brought out the hardware. Then together we tried building it; we got stuck at making the gears work but still I consider it a piece of art, especially the middle finger.

I always forget to xpost over here...

My Roys got nice and dusty disassembling and transporting huge bookshelves from the local Borders to my daughter's school for their new library.

After a morning of hard work, we hit the local wood-fired pizza shop for a tasty lunch, washed down with a Mex Coke.

Took the new car to the carwash on the way home so I could rain-x the windows. Been lots of rain lately...

Couldn't pass up a sunny afternoon, so we hit the park for some fetch...

...and some serious swinging.

I had a little time left in the day, so I built us a log cabin.

The carpet guy came last week and did the last two rooms I've been working on. All they need now is outlets, switches, and lights! I can't believe I'm almost done...

Today I went to a glassblowing party. I don't know how alcohol and really hot glass didn't end in death, but it went quite well. I even jumped in and made myself a paperweight with some supervision. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
