edc [everyday carry] shaved my wife

I might get shit for this like I do from my scientist friends., but idc...

When I need to carry something in an airtight container, I use one a 50ml Falcon Tube. They hold about 4 tablespoons of dry tea leaves, should be enough for a day, are sterile, air and liquid tight, float and for me are free :)

Of course, it holds 7 regular cigarettes. In a pinch, I suppose one could hypothetically use the conical end to grind up pills on the upturned lid, but I wouldn't know anything about that...

Since this thread is useless without pics:

Hey EDC thread, I has a question:

Those capsules => I need something for stashing my loose leaf tea... enough to get me through the day only and I think the capsule would work. Googling gave me Bison branded ones? What is the biggest reasonably sized capsule like container available? (Tired of carrying zip lock bags full of leaves). I don't intend to carry it in my pocket so little restriction thar.

&& I think, branespload you had a Lamy safari in one of your pictures? I think I think? Or maybe it was someone else. Or maybe someone else could halps. Thoughts on the Lamy safari rollerball & replacing ink? I don't want to fuck up the thread with pen pictures lolol so link: http://www.lamy.com/eng/b2c/safari/318. It looks like the ink inside is compatible with most gel rollers (Sarasa, G2, etc)- I would like to shove some of this gel roller ink into the Safari. Them disposable barrels look way too peasant, and shit doesn't work with the rest of my writing tools.

^ you want to carry an automatic OTF switchblade?? LOL

lmao yeah dude. check your laws before buying one.....

most likely the legal limit is an under 2in blade. or not legal at all.

but yeah i have handled a microtech utx-70. it's really nice. fires SUPER strong. it's ridiculous

http://countycomm.com/picopry.htm

basically I just need it to open boxes at work when I misplaced my stanley knife again or open bottles when... well when drinking I guess :D

i've had the pico and the micro; they did what they are supposed to

way overpriced when you factor in shipping

i want the pocket-sized one

also, enderes makes those things too, in various sizes

much cheaper and i can get them at the mom and pop hardware store

i own a utx, but for sure i can't carry that around legally, hahaha... but this i can.

and chances are, if autos are illegal to carry, you won't receive them if you buy from sites. your best chance is to lurk knife forums. that's how i got my utx :)

Microtechs are amazing blades but not legal most places unless you're an LEO, and even most departments don't like auto knives. But if you're set on it, go for it I guess. It's only illegal if a cop sees it.

Also might want to look into the 2-way (i think), it won't open all the way if it hits something.

can anyone recommend a knife with half serrated blade and a glass breaker. I'd like it to be a good size, blade no shorter than 4in.

I like the microtech scarab but its too expensive and illegal.

but i want something like that (not otf)

and i'd like it to be black. thanks

This is as close as I've seen to what you're looking for.

I'd recommend you not get a half serrated unless it's going to see little use, a sharp plain edge will be able to cut just as well, and much easier to sharpen.

Nice links & info! Thanks 35percent!

For general use, I agree about serrated blades. But I also have a dedicated rescue knife that sits either in the car, or strapped on me when rafting, kayaking, or climbing. That serrated blade will free you from tangles a lot faster than a plain edge!

Totally agree, that's why I asked how much he was going to be using it, also, half my post didn't show up, see below.

@ Kenthenoob - I've had my assist 2 and love it. My thumb catch came loose twice, sent it to spyderco, and I got a new one for free.

Made a EDC vid

Chapstick - Burt's Bees

Phone - LG shine
