dumb question, is the 883 a more modern fit around the top? Is there much hip flare? I already have the 881, 868s and 877's and only really need more eternals if they are a less traditional cut... opinions and comparisons appreciated.

Mine do not seem to flare, however, I think it is primarily how you size them. You can find my fit pics throughout the thread, otherwise I can post some more if you want.

From my experience I stretched my waist a good bit (3 inches) however the thighs have only stretched very little. If you want to size down make sure your thighs fit.

Nah, Beta's 883s are twice as old as yours. If their current state is anything to go by, your 883s will look great when they hit 18 months.

I got some brand new OW 811s that are tagged 31. They had a 29.5 waist, so I'm in the process of stretching them out (my waist is ~30.5). Hopefully I'll be able to, really love the denim!

they look good... maybe you washed them and took some of the deep eternal indigo out. they look vintage and thats the look most of these japanese repro companies are going for anyways so nice pair. by the way why is this thread lifeless does no one on sufu wear eternal?
